I'm feeling better about quarantine now that NYS has a clear reopening plan with dates etc.

Basically if all goes well much of the state will be at a "reimagined" normal around June 1st.

We are on PAUSE until May 15th so nothing is happening until that is over.

At that point we are following the CDC recommendation to begin phase 1 which is a region must have dropped in hospitalization rates for 14 days before anything can open.
So lets hope that is the trend between now and May 15th.

As long as that happens then construction and manufacturing can open who have a plan in place and approved bythe state and are in a region that the state has deemed can begin phase 1.

Then we watch for 14 days and see if hospitalization rates, antibody tests, and diagnostic tests show more people are getting it or if we remain level.

As long as the rate of infection does not surge after that 14 day period other businesses can reopen with plans approved by the state and in a region the state deems can being phase 2.
At first glance it seemed that those businesses would only be what the state deemed most essential however after a closer look it can be non essential businesses as long as the business has a good plan to keep people safe. AKA a hair salon could open if say you limit the amount of customers, have disinfectant procedures, etc.

Even after this starts it will be a lengthy process especially if people get careless and rate of infection surges and we have to start closing things again but I'm glad there's at least a plan in place and the public is being informed of it.
