IASW is the best ride in WDW

Bumping into the boat in front of you in a Small World traffic jam is part of the fun, guys! Back in 1982 I remember that being a "problem" and it still is now and I love it. If I didn't bump the guy ahead, I'd feel like something was missing..after all.

I know this is going to sound ridiculous - but I wish there was a gift shop at the end of the ride that sold it's a small world related merchandise. My neighbor has these adorable figurines from a bunch of the scenes that her aunt - a CM - would send to her throughout the years. There is nowhere to but that stuff now and I finally have a curio cabinet to display things!

Everytime I am in the world I try finding IASM merchandise as it is also my favorite attraction. I've found a few things at the Art of Disney store at DTD but really thats the only place i've seen anything besides a t-shirt or poster at World of Disney.

You have to go on it once to say you've seen it since it is a classic. Outside of that the only reason myself, my wife and my kids ever ride it more than once is to escape a sudden rain storm or to get inside some air conditioning for a little while.

It's endearingly adorable, is a ride all can love, has so much to see (but doesn't feel at all cramped), a cute and catchy song, a simple but worthwhile theme, ties to Walt...it's The Happiest Cruise That Ever Sailed!

That is all. :)

Did you lose a bet with the consequences being that you had to start this thread? :lol

Seriously, it is an iconic Disneyland/Walt Disney World Fantasyland attraction that must be experienced on each person's first trip to either of those parks and/or when traveling with young children. And my personal critic review would be that once is enough unless you happen to be with someone else on their first trip!

Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Maelstrom, the planned Avatar boat themed attraction . . . there are four cruises right off the top of my head that make me happier. :lol Happily, IASW will be down for refurbishment on my next planned visit so I will have no guilt in walking right past it. :D But the dolls that have just recently gone up for sale will make nice Halloween decorations!

No, I didn't lose a bet, lol. My sister says she doesn't like it, but always has to ride every trip, because, "When you go to Disney, you have to ride IASW."

I really love it a lot! I also love the Tiki birds, though. :)
