I think I'm starting to regret booking.

This is bad. The grizzly river run and SM will be closed, oh man......

Maybe we should have booked the world instead, at least we know the let downs there.

You're not missing much with GRR. It is unlikely both parks will have each and every attraction open at the same time, during any time of the year. No matter what, SOMETHING is closed. You either go now and enjoy what's open or continue to always be disappointed with closures in the future.

Yeah, the way the refurb schedule is flip-flopping about...like a surprised fish.....it would probably be best to ignore it until it gets closer to your arrival date.

Just take it in stride, and don*t worry too much about what will be open and what will not be.
You will still have a LOT to enjoy.

( still hoping the Indy date shifts back to what it was...previously ! )

I'm serious. I've stopped looking. Just gonna show up and make the most of it. May be arriving a day earlier so our oldest can see a friend. She's a cutie. ;)

I agree with all this and we'll be showing up and having the time of our lives no matter what, but I still like to check. It's a little bit fun for me now. Like Disneyland Russian Roulette.

Our dates are (possibly) now 4/26-5/3. I know @derelicte19 & her sis (& mom?) will be there. We're already counting on meeting up for drinks @ Trader Sam's at least once. Or maybe it'll become an evening staple with early parks closing hours during the week. LOL!

I'm probably going to try and convince the wife to do Trader Sam's as often as possible, if we can get a table/spot at the bar. We'll probably be there at the same time.

I pretty much always walk around in the pose from my profile photo - so, easy to spot. :)

A random question... couldn't find a history of refurbishments online but would Grizzly River Run not normally go down during the winter? I know the ride isn't meant to be amazing but for my first trip to California I am surprised it is closed in May as opposed to January/February!

Even when it is open it often closes. In the past 3 years of going to DL it has only be going maybe half the time we are in the park and it is supposed to be going. Often we've stood in line to ride it only to have it get closed down for something when we were about to board. Look on the bright side it will save you from getting wet if it isn't going.
