Nice Flower'sChild! You shoud have Suzy and Perla take a picture with you holding it. By the way, when are you heading down to 1900 Park Fare next? I always love reading about your trips to WDW. Nice find on ebay!

Hey there little bro! Nice link and happy post. Thanks for sharing. In the TRUE SPIRIT of Walt Disney himself--you embody the sense of Disney spirit, youthfulness and innocence he strived to create in all his ventures. He welcomed everyone, without criticism and judgement. He loved watching adults run with glee towards characters, and act "5" again. This was the main purpose of his parks...to let adults become children once again...leaving the stress and reponsibility of the real world far behind them.

If he were alive today, he would more than likely frown upon the modern technology being used intrusively by people visiting the parks *(i.e. Cell phones, etc). He envisioned a total escape, where the entire world is FREE inside the walls of his park. No ties to the outside real world remain, as you wholeheartedly immerse yourself in an environment of pure whimsey and fantasy. This is the biggest part of the allure, and I'm thrilled to report most adults play by these unwritten codes and rules---leaving EVERYTHING outside the gates!

When we take-up residency in the parks, we lose complete sense of all time/dates. We do this with a purposeful effort---as we enjoy "letting go" of the responsibilities of the real world for the time we are in the magic. We are then able to LIVE the dream Walt intended and envisioned. Where adults can return to childhood...and "let go" of the burdens of adulthood. If only for a day/too. It rejuvenates the soul and refreshes the spirit. There is not better therapy on this earth.

Therefore, reading your posts...coming from such a happy and pure place in your heart, truly does me good. I smile to know Walt would have enjoyed your perspective, and chatted about all your fascinating adventures. Many adults used to openly criticize and chastise Walt for having such "juvenile and ridiculous" plans/visions. He ignored them completely. Now, the same naysayers are the ones flocking to his parks with families of their own. The ultimate form of irony.

Have you ever noticed how the characters treat the invalid or less fortunate in wheelchairs? They are always treated with the utmost respect and love. Characters frequently part the seas of the crowds around them---and kneel down to interact "one on one" with these children or adults. It has always brought a tear to my eye. Never change FC. Blessed are those who are pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Thanks for the kind and warm welcome!! I look forward to being a member of such a friendly place. I've read and lurked a bit, and when I saw how magical everyone truly was (and treated one another with kindness and friendship), I felt compelled to post. Thanks again...your welcome means a lot to me. ^_^

DITTO all the way around little bro! I'm so happy you enjoy it here, and people are genuinely nice and kind too. What a wonderful place! I never knew it existed...all these years (10!!). Sometimes the best places, are the BEST-KEPT SECRETS! ^_^ :sohappy: I'm so happy you enjoyed my first post. Walt would have LOVED this place too...as it resonates with magic and warmth! No poison or ill-spirited meaness over here, that's for sure! I look forward to enjoying all this site has to offer. Thanks again for the link little bro, you are a special guy...with a heart the size of Montana (or bigger~!). People are blessed to know such a kind, gentle WDW-LOVING soul as yourself! I'm eagerly awaiting more details on your recent visit, including the dinners at Cindy's (or was it breakfast?) and with Perla and Suzy too!

lurking....

are you sure it was here you were lurking :lookaroun I'm kidding we are a great bunch :king:
Yes...it was here. Contrary to popular belief, I do not hang or lurk at the "dark side" nor am I registered there. Someone else (wouldn't take much, any/all are suspect) recently registered under my moniker...and "pretends" to hang there as me/myself and I. This would take a truly twisted individual to feel compelled to do such a thing (most also fit this criteria..sadly) Truly creepy. All they have to do is compare ISP's with Rich from the echo, or even BT...and they can confirm it's not me.

Someone sent me the guest list (copied from the top of the forum) via email--and sure enough, my name was at the top along with FC's (as a guest lurking...lol). She's (the mystery DF99) yet to post...but I've been waiting (lol). Oh well...there are a lot of twisted sites on the www, and this seems to be the antithesis of all of them.

Happy to be here. Thanks again for the kind (and facetious too) welcome. I also have a healthy sense of humor, and a thick skin, so do not worry about offending me. I've been through the lies, meat grinder, and then some. But---come out unscathed on the other side. I remain happy, enjoying life to the fullest. There are some...who are miserable all the time.

This is one of the reasons I so enjoy reading Flower's childs posts. He's always upbeat and positive. His experiences and adventures are always detailed from an innocent perspective. Why or How anyone could find something "evil" in all of that is wayyyy beyond me? I have read excerpts from similar stories written by adults all over the net, even on the Dis. Yet, no one persecutes the poster or professional writers. Yet, FC posts a couple photos, writes some lines about two character mice (yes--he knows they are characters too), and people go bonkers! This only goes to prove what treacherously small, and mundane lives these persons maintain.

I'm happy to read you are different over here, and enjoy his posts for what they are. Simple, happy contributions to a WDWMAGIC environment. Most people visit and post on such boards to escape REALITY---(i.e.: pressure from work, life, responsibility), most of the same reasons we all visit WDW and the parks! Therefore, his posts are a breath of fresh MAGICAL air. No need to get personal, no need to get mean or invoke evil meaning into something innocent. I appreciate all your kindness, and continued understanding when it comes to Tim's happy posts! He so enjoys "Disney" and people who also love Disney, etc.

Take care...and keep up the wonderful premise for this website. I never knew such a magical and happy place even existed until Tim sent me a link. Who owns/operates this forum? Where did they hail from, and has it truly been here for a decade now? (How the heck did it slip under my DIS radar? I thought I'd searched-for and located ALL the magical Disney sites over the years!!!). TIA for any/all input and info.

Always, DF99 --- Lisa
