If disney asked you right now to retheme TOT or make a new ride using TOT's ride system, how would you theme it? For the new ride, where would you locate it and why?
Maybe the Incredibles? Apparently it will do a lot of money so they will want to implement more in the parks. You're in an elevator tour at Endevor Enterprises (the one from I2, can't remember the exact name)/ or Edna Mode's Museum of Superhero Fashiom, Jack-Jack Escapes and caused the elevator to go nuts, and the Incredibles + Frozone work together to save you and the baby?

For WDW's TOT, I would give it a simple retheme to The Princess and the Frog. Now hear me out, this retheme won't heavily rely on the usage of The Princess and the Frog characters, except one: Dr. Facilier. We know from the film that Dr. Facilier comes from a rather wealthy family. What if Facilier's grandfather built the tower in New Orleans? For us guests, the hotel remains haunted like it currently is but within the storyline of the attraction, it recounts the event where a 13-year old Facilier attended the grand opening but after being reprimanded by his parents for complaining and claiming that he was bored, he becomes enraged and takes off. While running away, he finds himself in an undisclosed room. In that room, the young Facilier is introduced to his "friends from the other side." Facilier is taken aback, however, the evil twisted spirits had already begun to feed off of his anger to which causes the young Facilier to cave in and become "one" with these so-called friends. Young Facilier is then guided to an old spellbook and begins to read out loud the contexts within the book. As the young Facilier reads, the ancient tribal antiques are awakened, and the room becomes engulfed with evil spirits, including his shadow. The spirits make their way around the hotel, while Facilier’s shadow swarms towards the service elevator that currently occupies Facilier's family. Without his knowledge, Facilier’s shadow had caused the elevator to malfunction, sending it to crash downwards to their deaths. Here is where we witness Dr. Facilier's first taste of villainy.

In a nutshell, the guests recount these events in the same preshow of TOT, only this time it is rethemed to house all of the ancient tribal antiques. Effects are used, such as fog, lasers and video projection to showcase the spirits roaming around over your heads. This happens simultaneously during the preshow as the young Facilier reads from the spellbook. Guests are then taken to the boiler room (very little is changed here) and await to board the service elevator. Once abroad the ride, guests encounter the Dr. Facilier that we know from the film to which history repeats itself… again.

See, nothing major taking away from what's already there. Just stripping the current Twilight Zone theme and slapping on a good ol' Disney IP!

Doctor Strange is such an easy overlay.

No change at all to the outside (except the O in the sign will occasionally flash the Doctor Strange symbol). You're on a tour of an old dilapidated Hollywood hotel and spooky stuff happens. Is it ghosts?

No. Ghost guests are just people 'trapped in the Astral Plane' from what was thought to be a lightning strike, but was magic gone astray. And ZAP!, you just got dragged into the Astral Plane, with them.

Doctor Strange shows up detecting magic use. You hear him explaining what happened. To get out, you need to ride the elevator to find the portal home. And you find the other lost souls.... and the malevolent magic source, RUN! DROP! Get caught by Doctor Strange and you're in a tug of war going up and down.
