When I hit reply it quotes the whole message. What do I do if I only want to quote a part of the post. When I delete parts from their post it no longer quotes anything at all.

Also...try not to reply inside of the quotes as your reply will appear to be attributed to the other person.As unkadug said, make sure you keep the quotes.
I made the above quote by carefully backspacing the words I wanted to delete, making sure that I did not go beyond the quotes.
