Umm...if I like them, I'll buy them but I'm not really a "collector" (I have 3 of the 4 "limited ones" (The innovator, entertainer...ones)

The only pins I collect are the transportation or Japan themed pins. I don't have very many! :D

I don't think any of mine are rare except for several pairs of monorail wings, if those count.

I am a pin collector too and I love it. I am trying to become a "trader" but I just can't seem to part with them. I don't know what the value of some of my pins are, but I do have a couple of older LE pins from the food and wine festival, a few from Earth Day and some Christmas ones. I guess I am like everybody else, if I like it, I buy it.:) It is fun.

I collect them too and have had fun doing so. Probably my "rarest" pin is one from DisneyLand from New Year's Eve going from 1999-2000. I got it from a CM in October. I also have a tough time letting pins go when you trade. I only trade with CM's--just easier for me and it's fun to talk with them about their pins and then get into good conversations with them. Oh, I also had a friend give me 4 of his pins from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire--Play It!

The thing is what do you do with the pins when you collect them? when I was a youfffff i used to have many pins of my football team and id wear them on my jacket and club scarf, as I got older I had tour pins on my leathers, but somehow wearing my lanyard around the local tescos is not exactly the height of cool.

I couldnt care less if my pin is valuble or not as long as it looks good. My favourite is the word mickey with the charms hanging underneath cause my daughter Micky got it for me.

So any one got any suggestions for displaying pins, as I dont see the point of sticking them in one of those folders.

I really enjoy Disney pin trading. I have about 125 pins, rarest ones being Silver Monorail Wings, Tower of Terror with Opening Doors and Mickey Dangling behind them, Great Movie Ride Sliding Pin, and the Skyway Commerative slider. Pin trading is good if you have a pin you don't like. I dont have a pin i am willing to trade. When is wasat WDW, I bught a couple of inexpensive pins from Disney's Character Warehouse to trade with CM's, which was fun.

i just started collecting like a week ago,i was at the disney store in new york on my way to fao schwarts so i kinda only got um a lanyard and a tinkerbell pin but im movin up!

Let me tell you all a funny story, When I was in Disney , the beginning of Dec, I decided to wear my lanyard for the 1st time and try the pin trading thing. I was not in MGM 5 min and some old skinny man ( Ikobob Crane like) with a cane came up to me and wanted mt Cruise pin. I said OK and started to look at his lanyard. He very sternly told me that the ones on his lanyard are not for trading but he had limited very expensive ones in his bag. Well they were all Universal pins. I looked at my fiance and he said nono, only Disney pins please. Well the old man got really ed and grabbed my lanyard. Well, I yelled at him and ran away. And put the lanyard in the back pack. No more for me please. Well we get on the Disney Wonder a few days later and as we were talking to a cast mamber booking our next cruise, LOW AND BEHOLD!!!! who walks upto us!! yup. The old man, without the cane and walking fine . He was complaining saying he wanted a refund Bla bla bla............ After he left I told the CM about the lanyard incident at MGM. She said the he has been harassing the whole boat, grabbing lanyards and such trying to pawn off his Universal pins. She said there where many many complaints about him. Thank goodness we didnt see him the rest of the cruise. Anyway, thats my pin trading story. :lookaroun

I have a few pins... just a few...

I get what I like (and whatever's available during my trip)...

I don't trade...

I buy them as keepsakes/souvenirs...

If I come home with 10 pins from a trip, I'd be lucky...
:(

:) :D :animwink: ;)

I only buy the pins that interest me. I won't dare trade ANY unless there is something that I would die for (and can't buy on my own). I have a small collection...but they're really expensive at the parks; I mainly stick to Disney Store pins or pins at the park I JUST GOTTA have. :D
