I really really want to get into the royal table breakfast. I have a 3 yr old daughter that is in LOVE with princesses, castles, etc. but how far in advance do I need to make the PS? I don't want to wait too long but at the same time I haven't decided which day I want to go either...

we will be in disney from 11/6-11/14...

Good luck, you might try calling a day or two before just so you know what to expect and how to work the system, well, not really "work the system" but how to use the Disney phone systems, what happens when you get through etc. You will have to take whatever day you get as they book quickly. I was lucky enough to get through on my first day and booked a party of 12. they said I was really lucky to get everyone together. For an extra special treat, you might let your daughter dress up as her favorite princess. We do this and the girls just love it, and the extra special treatment they get going to the castle. There is a spacious restroom at the top of the castle that makes for easy changing of clothes, just store the princess gown in a locker for the rest of the day! makes for really special photos as well!

That is exactly what I did. I had my mom and dad sitting with me on cell phones also trying at the same time. It was me who got through, and I will be eating there in 12 days!!!

I would recommend calling just to understand how the calling system works, you have to answer like 4 questions by pushing buttons. If you know what they will ask, and what button to push, you will not need to listen to the whole question.

Also, I would start the first day trying to make the reservation, because if you dont get through you could try again the next morning.

Good Luck!!!

P.S. There some website (I think it is allears.net) that has a PS calculator to tell you exactly what day to call.

Actually, call at about 6:55. The phones open at 7:00 AM. That's what I did, and I got in this time!!!!

We tried every day to get a reservation at Cindy's but failed to get through. When we did get through they were booked. We ended up getting a ressy at Restaurant Akershus in Norway. The princess breakfast was great. My daughter loved it. They had Snow white, Belle, Pocahontas, Mulan and Aurora. Just throwing that out there as an alternative solution. We never want those little princesses of ours being disappointed. Good luck

This is what I was going to say!!!! Very important that you call at exactly 7:00 am EST. This breakfast routinely sells out in 10-15 minutes!!!!!! Best of luck!!! Belle

Hi,

I too have a 3 yr. old that loves the Princesses so this was a MUST for our visit. This is the plan I used and was successful on the first try. NOTE: I followed this info. from TourGuide Mike website and give him ALL the credit. i HIGHLY recommend his services for your trip to WDW.

This post is for you newbies that have never done this before and those of you who wish to get more information on how to better their chances at getting the PS for Cinderella's Breakfast!!

I thought I would share my plans on how to ensure our PS at Cinderella's Character Breakfast. Here is what you will need to MAXIMIZE your chances for your PS at Cindy's. Advice taken from tourguidemike.com and he deserves all the credit.

1. WHERE TO CALL - 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463), and Español: 407-WDISNEY (934-7639), opción #2

2. Learn the day this priority seating become available Very Important (more on this further down)

3. Have a credit card standing by to secure the reservation

Here's is my detailed plan that I used:

Call the day before so you know what to expect: There are different versions of the 'we're open' messages, but if you're really concerned about it, why not call them during normal operating hours the day before your early morning and listen to what their current 'we're open' message is? The most important message to know is their 'we're closed' message so that anything different sounds different once it comes on -- which means they're open. Still ... it's easily worth the 30 seconds and $.07 to know it in advance isn't it

Begin calling a few minutes before what you 'think' is 7 a.m. Who knows what time the Disney Dining office goes by, right? Their '7 a.m.' (East Coast Time) may be different from yours and mine. That's important to realize. I begin dialing by no later than 6:56 a.m.

Program my redial button: Because I know I'm calling 'too early,' I listen for their "We're closed" message and then I hang up. I no longer dial the number from here on out - I just keep using the redial button(s).

Use as many available phone lines you have: I get both phones programmed for redialing and I actually practice using them at the same time. I hold one to each ear, making sure my fingers easily 'know' where both the redial AND hang up buttons are, AND how to return to the redial button, without having to look at it.

Know the difference between their two automated messages: As soon as I hear and/or recognize the "We're closed" message, I hang up immediately and redial! This is another reason why I begin calling early so I'm comfortable recognizing what I hear. If you need to begin even earlier than I do for 'ear practice,' please do.

Disney recently changed their phone announcements that you and I have to wade through when making a priority seating. Knowing what's said can work to your benefit because I'm going to show you what you can skip that will put you even further ahead in the "Cinderella Calling Game!"

Only say what you need to: I know this sounds ridiculous, but every millisecond counts even after you get through. There are up to 300 cast members answering the phones together, and 'your' cast member is in competition with all of them just as much as you are with fellow guests. The moment a 'real' voice comes on the line I say,

"Hi -- Cinderella's, party of 4, as early as possible please."

That's all the cast member needs to try and grab the reservation for you, and they want to be successful just as much as you want to dine there. For them, it's a personal challenge and sort of game to see if they can beat their fellow cast members.

Have 'Plan B' ready: I will have an alternate choice already chosen. Why? Because other excellent choices can be snapped up by all those hundreds of other guests who don't secure a Cinderella priority seating.

Again, I would like to thank TourGuideMike.com for this information and I highly recommend his website.

If you follow these instructions, you should have a very high success rate.

Good Luck!!

If your going during a crowded time like I am in October I would call maybe 120 days in advance. It gets filled very fast.

I'm pretty sure that you have to do it 90 days before. Before this they are not taking reservations. 120 days is way too early. I agree with the other posts call promtly at 7am EST or you won't get in. This was much easier for me when I lived in Florida. Now when I have to wake up at 3:55am here on the west coast it is tough to wake up for but if you don't get in at 7am EST you will miss your chance! Also I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, they take a deposit for each person in your party now for the Royal Table CB. I believe the deposit is $10 a person and you pay the rest when you go. Good luck! :)

Royal Table Priority Seating

The info you have received about starting to call at 6:55 am, with 2 phones, using redial is essential. Also, I 'practiced' a few times, and when the operator answered, I'd let them know I was practicing, and they gave me a few tips. One operator told me about a new Princess lunch at the Grand Floridian--$200 for one adult and one child..Princess Aurora is there, and the child gets a tiara, doll, and some other goodies, and you both get a 'light' lunch.. That's too rich for my blood, but I have been fortunate to get the Royal Table breakfast for the last three visits! My next visit there is Sept. 19th at 8:10 am--Can't wait!!

Quick question, hopefully someone can answer, sorry its a bit of a thread drift...but we have never done Chef Mickey's and we were thinking of doing that in Feb. since we did the big Cinderella's in June. Do I need to do the same "Commando Calling" as my husband calls it, for Chef Mickey's as I do for Cindys? Also does anyone know off hand if its a 90 day or 120 day advance ressie? Thanks again for any info!

Only Cinderella's requires such extreme measures for breakfast. We are doing the Akerhus Princess Breakfast instead and eating lunch one day in the castle. Much easier.

All WDW restaurants with a couple specific exceptions (the dinner shows and Victoria & Albert's, I think) are on a 90 day reservation clock now. I've never had any trouble getting the places I want if I call even 60 days out. Including Chef Mickey's, and we were a party of 12.

No way for Chef Mickey's. Cindy's is the only restaurant I know of where you have to go through this insanely stressful process just to get a table (there HAS to be a better way!). You can easily get away with calling a couple months early for Chef Mickey's and get a time--they have a lot of seating and they go through people quickly. I ate at Chef Mickey's for breakfast in late May and didn't make my reservation until at least late March and had no problem getting the exact time I wanted--and Chef Mickey's was full when I ate there.

Believe it or not, getting PS for Cindy's wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Yes, I had to get up at 5:30a.m. here in Texas but that was the hardest thing about it. If you live ion the West coast then it might be a bit harder for you, but the closer you live to Florida the easier it is. If you can get up in time to call, the instructions I posted above will zip you through and make getting up early one day very worth it, especially if you have a youngster you want to impress.

For the person calling for lunch, it is not as cutthroat, but those fill up, too. I'd still try to call 90 days out from the day you want it. I feel the same way about Chef Mickey's, you may not have to get up as early, but if you know what day of your trip you are going to do these things, make the priority seating as early as you can.
