How fanatic are Disney World fanatics?

Ummmmm, no I don't think too many people go to both parks in 12 hours. Again, you win hands down:))
I talked to some people during the first Rock Your Disney day that were doing that. That day definitely brought out the fanaticism in people. There were people trying to sleep on Main St and everything. People tell me I'm a fanatic because we take 3 trips a year but our DVC membership is what really makes that possible. I'm also always wearing Disney shirts but that's really because I'm such a huge Carl Barks fan so I'm always wanting to wear something with Scrooge on it even though the Disney version of Scrooge is not exactly equivalent to the true version which is the Barks and Rosa version. We also completely decorate the house for Christmas in all Disney and probably have about 100 Disney ornaments. I guess the funniest way I express my fandom is that I'm a baptist preacher and I have multiple Mickey ties and a really awesome Scrooge tie that actually IS from the Barks version and people always get a kick out of those ties when I wear them to church. Other than that though I'm just your average dude that knows where thousands of Hidden Mickey's are and always books 11 months in advance and books dining 180 days in advance and pretty much always does signature events. LOL!

You just reminded me of something I did last year that might be considered fanatical, though I think it's just good planning lol I booked my trip for this summer before I had left for my trip last summer.

Yeah as a DVC member I pretty much always have a trip booked and sometimes two and that feels good. LOL! Totally not a fanatic though...

The company I work for has several clients in the Orlando area. Whenever they require an on-site visit I volunteer to go and ask for two PTO days. One day for the company and two for me at WDW. Usually I am done by early afternoon so it is really two and a half days for me. If offered I would accept a remote assignment there in a heartbeat. My DW says she does not want to live Florida it is too hot and they have alligators. I think I would miss her.

I said I would share some photos of how I make my home more Disney. Forgive the crudeness of the photos...my model Tower of Terror, Chinese Theater, WDW welcome sign and my lil Typhoon Lagoon...

Hahaha yeah! It was crazy! But it was a lot of fun being in one resort one evening and then the other the very next day. But there's got to be a few others that have done this on here...right??!!:joyfull:

I've done Disneyland in the morning and Magic Kingdom at night before. I know others that have done all 6 parks in a day (I believe their rule was 2 rides in each to count it), that's a future goal of mine. I've also done every ride in all 4 parks in a single day before. And I've flown down solely for Not So Scary before. Frequently book last minute trips for a day or two. You aren't alone being crazy.

I am going to extend your question to add in pathetic Disney fanatics. These are people who insist on going to Disney world everyday of their lives and going to every special event. Most of this patheticness is on YouTube.

Trust me, I’m not trying to doubt what you’ve said, I’m just genuinely curious - how is it even possible to do every ride in all four parks in a single day?

I've done every ride (not all shows) in all 4 parks in a day, this was before New Fantasyland and Pandora at AK.

I think I started at 6 or 7am for extra magic at AK and finished at MK when it closed at 1 or 2am. It would be harder now since the park hours have been cut significantly from 10-15 years ago. I know I did this when there were paper fast passes.

Honestly, you can run through MK it probably 2 hrs if the park is practically empty. From 11PM - 1AM, there were basically zero lines.

That’s pretty awesome! I never even thought it was possible. Now I have to try it!

If you look up The Parkeology Challenge it'll show you how most seem to attempt to do it. I did it slightly different than their rules. To me Space Mountain requires both tracks since they are different. But basically it's a lot about picking the right day. You want the longest hours you can get with the least crowds and the most valuable fast passes. Honestly Universe of Energy and Great Movie Ride were the biggest obstacle since they were so long and ate up a ton of time, and park hopping can kill your time as well if you time it wrong. I did it shortly after the Mine Train opened in 2014.

If I can just ask you one more question, did you enjoy doing it or did it feel stressful trying to get it accomplished?

I loved it. I did it on a whim, as I do all things down there. Ultimately if I didn't succeed it would've still been a great day. I can see it getting stressful if you plan it out heavily and something knocks those plans off, and I did it alone so everything was very flexible for me. I probably would've been stressed had I tried with somebody that didn't want to succeed as much as I did. I did it for fun so it was fun, just a long day at Disney. I plan on another attempt after Star Wars opens.

In 2016 we went to WDW for 8 days over spring break, me and the wife went to DLR for 5 days for our anniversary, and went to WDW 3 weeks later for another 5 days to be in the MK on Halloween night. It was a good year. I also plan to be at the final showing of Illuminations by hook or by crook. I also spend a decent amount of time on this board and we have a Disney ornamented Christmas tree. Pretty average fandom for these parts, but we enjoy it and always seem to be planning some aspect of an upcoming trip.
