I will be at UNV May 26-28 and have read that Shrek 4D will have 'soft openings' during the month of May. Can someone tell me how this works? Do they have a schedule of times the ride will be open/closed throughout the day and on what specific days or do they just kinda open it intermittently and we just hope we're around the ride when they do this? Thanks!!

Soft openings are pretty much "luck of the draw". Rides/shows are open at their discretion, and there's a chance the ride/show could be stopped at any point if there are technical difficulties. There's no way to call ahead and see if it will be open, your best bet is to hang around the show and see if it's open. Best of luck!

Further to "Foxfires" reply - the idea is to give the ride a workout, making sure it can cope and it will be stopped, closed down etc allowing for alterations and problems to be ironed out. The idea being that when the Official Opening takes place the ride will be problem free.
