Hotel parking for dining (GF & Contemporary)

Greetings!

It has been quite some time since my wife and I have been to one of the restaurants at The Contemporary or the GF. We're planning to go back soon but apparently there have been some few changes in terms of driving to them and parking since we were last there several years ago.

Am I correct that new roads were built that take you directly to the hotels and that you bypass the MK entrance plaza to get to the Contemporary and the GF?

I also realize overnight resort guests now pay for parking (IIRC), but how does this work with going to the hotel just for dining? Is it like before where you just show your reservation to the gate attendant and they let you in, or do you have to pay up front and/or get validated from the restaurant for a refund when you leave?

While improvements to World Drive do bypass the MK toll plaza, you'll still remain on World drive to get to the Contemporary (same as before) and will turn left onto Seven Seas Dr (past the Poly) then right on Floridian Way to get to GF (also same as before.)

The gate attendant at each resort will ask for your ID and reservation time/restaurant. You will be admitted and parking is free.

Just an FYI…Stay in the far left lane before you get to the MK tollplaza. You’ll bypass the tollplaza traffic. It’s quite nice.
