Hoop de doo Revue dinner show?

I sure hope they don't make an issue out of being a part of the show. We are not up for that, especially my husband who has done that before and hates it. It's just not our thing so we will decline and I hope they don't try to make us do it. I know it's fun for lots of people....but not for everyone.
They won't make you do it, they also won't put you on the spot. The cast will walk the crowd and talk to you one on one.

Coming from someone who has severe stage fright, I was scared about this at first too. But they don't make people do anything. When the part of the show comes around where they ask the audience who wants to participate, it's a raise your hand type of deal. When the actors walk around the floors, they are normally singing. Sometimes they will walk up to your table, and just say hi, but that's about it. I highly recommend doing Hoop-Dee-Doo. Food is great and the entertainment is awesome!:joyfull:

I did the HDDR for the first time this month. (I think the day after you @Driver ) I really enjoyed the show and the atmosphere. They staff was also very helpful with my MIL who just happened to break her leg on day 2 of our trip. My only complaint was with our server. He went with the "Angry/Rude Server" schtict and played it a little too well. His service wasn't that great either. I wanted to take advantage of the "all-you-care-to-enjoy" beer, but my glass sent empty a little too much.

That being said, this is something that I would do again!! Hopefully with a different server next time.

I love HDDR, last time I was with my niece and we had the table right up against the stage, smack dab in the middle. She was 10 at the time and we had a blast.

Sorry that happened, but that is truly a case where you should have said something. Your server should not have been playing the angry role even as a joke. And you should always have plenty of beverages. I never experienced that at HDDR and neither should you. Management would deem that as unacceptable!

Thanks Yoda, think I will call just to be certain on cancelling as I could not find it anywhere on page for that attraction.

Most expensive is the floor....so take it that's most desirable, and second is facing forward, so yes the side balcony would require repositioning self.....guess it depends on what is available too when I do my ADR's....this one looks like it would take more time so maybe better to finish my entire week and then go back to attempt that? Guess it is already programmed for my payment but still more pages.

Hey I read that you can pick up tickets from any resort concierge? So I don't need to go to actual venue prior and this would allow me quicker entry? Sounds like a fun adventure and thanks again for letting me bounce need to know queries off of you veterans of the experience!:happy::happy:
You can cancel just like all other dinner reservations, 24 hours prior, but you are charged at booking

You can also pick up the tickets at the ticket booth to the left of the entrance, or at least you used to be able to.

Hoop de Doo is lots of fun.

Unless things have changed, I would, however, hop through Wilderness Lodge. Easy to leave a park and get on a Lodge bound resort bus. From the Lodge bus stops, another resort bus runs through FW. The first stop (iirc) is Hoop de Doo, and the venue is a short walk past the miniature horses on the left.

Don’t think that’s true about the buses. If you get a bus to FW you have to change to an internal bus to get to HDDR.

If you get a boat from either MK, WL or Contemporary, it’s a 5 minute walk to the hall. Much easier doing it that way.

They did change the buses returning from the last show of the day. They used to have buses waiting to take people to each resort, or resort loops. Now they run everyone to MK and you change there.

The yellow line runs right to it from Wilderness Lodge, or used to.

Shame if they changed it. I suppose I could check...I am here right now.

That said, the boat is certainly the cooler way to go! (though, I do like stopping and walking around the WL lobby in transit, too)

You are correct the yellow line does go directly from FW to WL. And drops you off at the bus circle near HDDR.

The travel advice from @slappy magoo is right on.

If you stay at WL there is one other option to get to FW, there's a wooded paved trail (unlit) that runs between the resorts. It's less than a mile, 15 - 20 minute walk. Faster with bicycles. The scariest ride at WDW is riding your bike on that trail without a headlight at night. OMG, almost died.

Back to the revue. It's awesome. One of my favorite things to do at WDW. It's just a classic Disney show. Corny jokes, nostalgic music, generally wholesome family fun. It makes you feel like it's 1985 and there's no such thing as Twitter/Snapchat. Lots of audience participation. It takes me back to the WDW of my childhood. If you have little kids, get a table near the stage.

Food. No worse than a character dinner buffet, but it's served family style. My family likes it. Yummy fried chicken, good Yankee ish corn bread, mashed potatoes, green salad, buttery corn, baked beans, the ribs aren't the most tender, but they're okay. Super strawberry shortcake for dessert and mommy and daddy's meal included basic beer and wine options.
How do you get a table by the stage? I’m going sept 2nd for the first time and paid for cat 1 seating, I really want to be right up front

Tables are allocated according to when you book. Those who booked the earliest will get the tables closer to the stage. There really isn’t anything you can do to change that. Sorry.

Yep, I got the front and center table one time and I booked right at 180 days.
