HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

so is it a clone of Mission:Breakout ?

That is indeed a TOT DCA/WDSP style, but it is apparently just for reference only, not a leak.
The text on the story says:
"Hong Kong Disneyland's 2018-2023 expansion & development plan finale park: The Avengers Base was originally scheduled to be completed in 2023.
(Expected area of expansion - Design for reference only) <--- your screenshot
According to the operating conditions in the next 2 years. Autopia (馳車天地 is Autopia's name I think?)'s original land is divided into 2-3 stages to start the construction project, which is more advantageous than one amusement facility occupying the entire land"

Yes but would they have placed a ToT blueprint in there for “reference only” when they could have put a blueprint for what they’re really going to build minus sensitive details?

This more or less confirms ToT tech (who knows what the theme is, maybe MB).

I believe Mission:Breakout was ruled out for Hong Kong (if I had to guess why, they probably didn’t want to focus so heavily on Guardians).

Tower of Terror ride system would be a new draw for Hong Kong. If Disney went for another theme like spidey or Dr Strange, or even the avengers it would give them another unique ride to market alongside ant man and iron man.

Yeah, somehow HKDL manages to sneak unique attractions through approvals!

When will HKDL ever receive a fume ride!? I would hope Disney axe Toy Story Land for Indians Jones mini land.
I don’t thk Disney will scrap any built land in post pandemic time. There is still a large parcel of land between TSL and Arendelle to house a mega toy story ride.
How about a mega flume ride integrating with toy story mania

Bluesky thinking:

Andy brings all his lovable toys to a summer camp. A storm hits the campsite while Andy is away and some of Woody’s friend are washed away. An adventurous journey for Woody to retrieve all his friends before Andy returns.

Guest will be shrunk to toy scale and join Woody on a twig flume ride to try saving one friend at a time in stages (toy story mania mini game). The last scene will be a “big” drop returning to the campsite.

I’d like to see more of this elsewhere. Take the ride system and redress it as a new attraction makes all the parks fresh and gives them unique sells rather than making them lists of the same things
It would even stimulate international visitors to see other parks, how is that not a hit in the long run for the company?
Why would I want to visit other parks if they all have the same rides?
I've been saying this so many times, this new direction of cloning rides is such a mess. Is it THAT expensive to take the blueprint of a ride and change up the theme/scenes?

I totally agree. In the past you had things like star tours and body wars, Indy and Dinosaur, Test track, Radiator Springs and Journey to the Center of the Earth all of these was a similar ride system, sometimes the same track with different set dressing to make it a different experience. Now we only get that kind of thing for flat rides.

I’d love to see different versions of things like the tower of terror drop system or the Indy cars. Imagine if tron was a speeder chase in galaxies edge or a captain America motorcycle chase attraction. Use tesk track for a James Bond style spy car chase or a pod race attraction. Surely its easier than designing a ride from scratch and you get a unique attraction to market.

This video suggested the avengers eticket will possibly be replaced by a New York themed Spider-Man ToT. I do not think this theme will fit HKDL for 4 reasons:

1) Most people in Hong Long are already living in a skyscraper, lack of unique experience

2) Setting contradicts to the plot Ironman Experience where guest should be flying to to the Hong Kong city center and fly back to Stark Expo. Hard to imagine how the newyork skyline will fit in the last scene of the Ironman experience ride

3) Most visitors in Hong Kong visit hkdl because the park gives a resort/getaway feeling. Building a mini metropolis in the park ruined it.

4) no more space port?

If ToT ride system is inevitable, perhaps a theme like this may work better?

Guest starts their space travel experience to the outer space Avengers Station by space elevator (similar to Space 220 in Epcot) but encounter attacks by Thanos so the avengers, or spider-man in this case, are here to escort guest safely to the destination?

What do you guys think?
