They are coming to see the concrete and new fake grass.New WDWPR Chairman BoB Chapek, Meg Crofton, Spence Neumann and others are expected to be on property all this week.
This would seem to be Chapek's first visit in his new role as Chairman of the parks.

I trust, given his credentials, this will be Bob's first trip to Disney World. I heard he's excited to go see Harry Potter and step on the Pandora pavement that he read about in the WSJ in 2011 (surely it's done by now?).There are also a lot of construction walls to look at?
Sounds like the initial dog and pony show for Chapek. Dang, Meg isn't gone yet?
Has he even been aware of the theme parks for 60+10 days? I assume he is staying at AKL.Word is he will not be seen on any rides at WDW as he did not reserve any fast passes far enough in advance of his visit.
Fake grass is to a Disney park as botox is to a Disney executive. They are coming to see the concrete and new fake grass.
I would think it's always a good sign seeing big name park execs visiting the parks... many reasons for doing this.. and I can't think of many that wouldn't be good
I wouldn't read too much into it. It is customary to get a tour of your new digs when you get a new job, right? When I first saw my office at work, I didn't immediately think, "that wall needs to come down."
That would be nice, wouldn't it?While that is certainly true, every journey has to begin with a single step. We can hope that this initial evaluation by Chapek does lead to changes (improvements) down the road for WDW.
Lets hope he rides TTA and experiences the lack of anything at all when going through Space Mountain. That would be a great place to start. That would be nice, wouldn't it?
