High level Disney Executives on property this week

There are also a lot of construction walls to look at?

Sounds like the initial dog and pony show for Chapek. Dang, Meg isn't gone yet?
I trust, given his credentials, this will be Bob's first trip to Disney World. I heard he's excited to go see Harry Potter and step on the Pandora pavement that he read about in the WSJ in 2011 (surely it's done by now?).

Bob Chapek spent four days in Anaheim a few weeks ago, and then had his family join him for the weekend. Miceage had a nifty write up on his Anaheim visit, his first visit to a Disney park as the new Chairman. I imagine the same things he did in Anaheim will be done in WDW too.

Meg Crofton joined him on his week in Anaheim too to show him around. Since he only lives 45 minutes away from Disneyland, he must have really taken it seriously by staying on property in Anaheim.

The Miceage article on his Anaheim visit a couple weeks ago... http://micechat.com/96582-bob-chapek-disney-parks-and-resorts/

I would think it's always a good sign seeing big name park execs visiting the parks... many reasons for doing this.. and I can't think of many that wouldn't be good

I beg to differ. It's very possible the point of these visits by execs could be to further push nextgen into the other resorts. For those of us not completely fond of that program, that reason would be "not good".

I wouldn't read too much into it. It is customary to get a tour of your new digs when you get a new job, right? When I first saw my office at work, I didn't immediately think, "that wall needs to come down."

While that is certainly true, every journey has to begin with a single step. We can hope that this initial evaluation by Chapek does lead to changes (improvements) down the road for WDW.
