Has anyone read this book? Meant to be getting as a Christmas present but hoping it isn't full of secrets that are already on this website and others? Sorry if this is the wrong board not sure where to post.

It's a just an O.K. book. Nothing fabulous about it that stands out among many others of its type. Get it if the present is for a Disney fan looking for another Disney book. I pick up most Disney books to add to my extensive book shelf. It's not one thats going to give you new undiscovered secrets, or things you cant find in other books or online. If you know a lot about Disney already you might find a few things but not much. Some things are outdated too. It isnt too costly so if you need a gift it isnt going to break the bank.

I've got that book, it had some interesting info in it but sadly, I already knew a lot of it. Still worth having as part of your collection though!

Oh totally, I agree!

I have a few books which are good.
Depending on if you are interested in more than just the parks, I own these books and find them all very informative:

Realityland: True Life Adventures at Walt Disney World. Looks into the planning of WDW and it's initial construction.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0964060523?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01

The Animated Man: A life of Walt Disney
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0520256190?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01

The Vault of Walt. This has lots of interesting little stories about all aspects of Disney:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0615402429?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00

And my favourite, Walt Disney, An American Original by Bob Thomas.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0786860278?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00

(sorry if you are in the US, these are all amazon.co.uk but you get the idea!) :)

Hidden Magic... Is that the one where the author tries to put a cute spin on the feral cats, or suggested that there was some sort of controversy about there having been a restaurant for King Stefan in Cinderella's Castle?

Yes. But what I want to know is what do you mean by "cute spin?"

They're cute because they kill the RATS! But they aren't just killers, they are special, magical, Disney trained rat killers!

I'll have to read it again now. I;ve completely forgotten what she writes about.

Aw, I thought this thread was actually about finding the hidden magic at wdw! I was about to list some things off hahaha

Go ahead! I wouldn't mind reading some :D
