Have you ever been stuck on a ride?

We were evacuated off the Goofy roller coaster 2 years ago about midnight, just as the park closed. It stopped literally just outside the load/unload platform. Within minutes there were at least 3 mechanics and several CMs who were overseers. Apparently the book, since one CM kept yelling at the other when she made a mistake, the ride CMs took us two by two, escorting us that last 20 feet to the platform. I thought it was very interesting just how fast a swarm of help arrived from seemingly nowhere.

Rock N Roll Rollercoaster for quite a long time actually. When the light came on, I was suprised at how shabby all the soundproofing appeared.

I got stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean for 30-45 minutes because of water level or something like that. Does anyone know what that means? I assume the water level was too high or something, because they had to drain a lot of water and then fill it back up, but I don't know what the technicality of it was.

On another occasion, I was stuck on The Great Movie Ride at the Casablanca scene for 15 minutes or so. Have no idea what happened there.

Those are the worst ones I can remember, I've experienced several small instances of getting stuck because of mobility-impaired loading/unloading that aren't worth noting.

Not necessarily "stuck" per se, but omnimovers (HM, TLM, SSE, etc.) frequently stop to allow mobility-impared persons to load/unload.

As for actually stuck: Buzz Lightyear, Pirates (problems with the new boats), and the most dreaded of all, IASW.

So, I thinkg "stuck" has to be defined further because I would imagine everyone at some point has had the 1-10 minute "stuck" due to load/unload issues that cauase the omnimovers to stop (HM, SSE, Mermaid, etc.). I certianly have numerous times.

The only true"stuck" I'd say for me was Space Mountain 1983. And, yes, while 32 years ago it was that memorable. We had just been sent on to the launch tunnel when we were stopped in that section right before you turn up the lift hill. It's the area with the flashing blue lights that are made to look like they're moving forward. We got stuck in that tunnel for about 45 minutes with the blue lights flashing away. They sent a cast member to come stand with us and talk to us (or keep an eye on us in reality).

Ultimately, they ended up sending every car through one at a time. Simply release each car from it's break location (so some were trapped in the ride part way through). Because we were in the launch tunnel we were the last or 2nd to last car allowed to go while we waited for every car to get to go before us.

BEST PART: We got to go through Space Mountain with all of the lights ON!! I'll never forget it. They also immediately took us back to the front of the line to let us ride it normal, but getting to see it with the lights on was absolutely awesome.

Having been to WDW numerous times, I now actually hope for cool experiences like that.

I've watched the Youtube videos of SM with lights on, but have never gotten stuck. I keep hoping we will, though!

I had to exit Splash Mt through the backstage area. It was brilliant.

I hate the exit for a Small World because of the boat backup. Why do they need to put that any boats in the water for every boat ride to back them up.

I've only been evacuated from one ride: Universe of Energy, and that was because a kid decided to get up out of the ride vehicle, just as it started up.

As for stops, this trip I've been stopped on HM (at the hitchhiking ghosts part - when the ride restarted, the hitchhiking ghosts disappeared), and SSE twice (once right next to the snoring monk and the second time was right at the end between the exit of the star tunnel and the unload bay).

We got stuck on TTA right beside SGA, so we had to walk down the track, down some stairs and out through Mickey's Star Traders. Pretty cool! Also got stuck on POTC, had to get out of the boats and exit the back of the building and walk through backstage.

Stuck at the top of RnRC back in May. Had to be evac'd. Fun experience.
