Have we done the "Woman pees in cup at Disneyland and gets angry for getting called out" video yet?

I love Hawaii but they should stop whining.

I feel the exact same way! 🤣

I read a recent article about Hawaiians demanding the state government stop spending so much money and energy on the tourism industry, with a dollop of hipster anti-Americanism thrown on top.

And I'm thinking... and what are you going to replace the massive tax base of tourism with? Your state has no manufacturing, you have no mining or natural resources of any signifigance to extract and sell, you have nothing of any sellable value to offer to the world except tourism. And your tourism industry is so successful because it flies under the flag of the United States, with all the confidence and invaluable security that provides. And you want to cut that off? And then what? You guys just sell some pineapples to the mainland, and sell poi and laundry services and funny cigarettes without filter tips back and forth to each other and try and make a scrub living off that?

I get it. Tourists are annoying. They drive badly in their rented Malibu's and Jeep's. They clog up all the good restaurants and beaches. Spending my summers and early autumns in La Jolla, I'm not a fan of tourists myself.

But honestly, what the heck else can Hawaii offer to the world except tourism and a handy Naval base halfway between the US mainland and Communist China for the coming war? They should stop whining and just put up with the tacky tourists, because they have nothing else of any significant value to offer the global economy, and the Communist Chinese are not going to stay quiet for too much longer.

Just roll with it, braddah. Mahalo in advance.

Okay, in a twinge of guilt fueled by a shared annoyance of tourists-in-Malibu's I just thought... was I too hard on our friends in Hawaii?

Apparently not. I pulled up their state GDP, and where they get their money from. Tourism is the driver, all the time. It would be like if you turned the Anaheim Resort District into a state and then started complaining about all the tourists who dump tax money into your lap every day. (Paging Anaheim Councilman Jose Moreno.... Please call your office.)

State of Hawaii
Population = 1.4 Million
GDP 2019 = $82 Billion
GDP Per Capita = $58,000
Tourism = 21% of State Economy

Orange County, California
Population = 3.2 Million
GDP 2019 = $270 Billion
GDP Per Capita = $84,000
Tourism = 8% of County Economy

That exact thing crossed my mind too.

To get a gaggle of Security guards to show up, and to get Tom The Manager to also appear to tell you your day at Disneyland was done and you are being asked to leave, requires some serious misbehavior witnessed by at least several people. Then the person involved admits to it all, and blames her human bladder and her commute and her career choice as reasons why her unacceptable and illegal behavior should be excused. Also, she once went to Aulani.

Turn this awful Karen into a Kirk (what is the male version of a Karen?), and this scenario takes a completely different turn. And the man involved ends up in the Anaheim jail and on the California sex offenders registry for life for exposing himself at Disneyland.

So then I have to ask... Why did Disneyland Security only tell her she had to leave property? Why wasn't she arrested, or at the very least Tom The Manager was accompanied by one of the Anaheim Police Officers that are stationed on Disneyland property?

Why is there an obvious double-standard for indecent exposure and public urination behavior for women in 2021?
Because....you know....inclusiveness means it wouldn't be right to arrest a women for the same thing a man would get.arrest3d for.

Seriously, she should be a sex offender for life, just as any guy would be if they did this.

Is the implication here that desiring modesty and opposing public urination are "alt-right" positions?

Also, the implication that right leaning content, such as desiring modest and opposing public urination, is less "welcoming" than those spewing hatred against the unvaccinated, demanding the removal of White culture and history from the parks, and overall creating a hostile environment to any who disagree (such as labeling those opposing public urination as "alt-right"), is absurd.
I’m obviously not labeling those opposing public urination as alt-right. I’m labeling those veering the thread off topic with alt-right posts and alt-right language as alt-right.

Not sure where you are getting that from, the posts pointed out the hypocrisy with this:

It is a fact that if a man urinates in public, especially say a theme parks where young children are around, he will be arrested and labeled a sex offender for life.

Yet, this is a woman who did this ad was just escorted off property, by all accounts she was not banned, just asked not to come back for the rest of that day. And she definitely wasn't arrested and labeled a sex offender.

People here simply pointed out, and rightfully so, that everyone needs to be treated equal under the law, either both should be required to be registered sex offenders for life or neither should.

I fail to see anything alt-right about that, it is simply pointing out that things aren't right here.

That's a very fair summary of all this. Nothing alt-right about it, just anti-pee so far as I can tell.

Twitter buzzword used in an attempt to silence other people's opinions

Since "Racist!" got overused into nothingness and doesn't work any more, it seems that's the latest buzzword.

It makes me giggle. 😊

It all depends on the arresting officer. They can charge someone or just say don't do it again. Even charged with lewd behaviour, they may not be labeled a sex offender as that responsibility lies with the judge. A lot of judges will only label if there was blatant exposure or a pattern of peeing in public. I don't know that I've seen a woman urinating in public but I've seen many many men due to it's easier for a man, hence more arrests and more labeling.

In California, it is automatic for men, as long as they are charged and found guilty of urinating in public.
