To be honest, other than the few reviews in this thread, I haven't read one positive thing about it. The majority of reviews I've read said it's extremely loud, discombobulating and it makes a lot of people feel sick, ranging from mild all the way up to vomiting and having to leave the park and spending the rest of the day at their hotel.
It’s not… bad. Just not amazing. Not worth the budget. And wrong location.

IMHO of course.

The more I think of this, the more I wish they added more sets. If anyone has ridden space mountain at DL while they're doing hyperspace mountain you know about the near misses with various space craft as well as some laser effects. I feel like there could have certainly been some of that added.. instead we get a couple big globes. The ride is pretty good but it's missing some little things that could make it so much better.

I mean sure you'll see some people looking pale on the bench at the exit, or hovering around the trashcan, or kids crying need to be consoled, but the majority of people getting off the ride enjoy it. And you'll see all that stuff time to time at the exit of any of the mountains.

It's definitely unique sensations and it can definitely set some people on a bad way, but it's a lot of fun. There's a lot of positives about it.

We were at the park last week, and I thought I'd give it another shot. I hated it less this time, but it's still not good. That park could have certainly used that money for a myriad of other projects. It would also garner less complaints if it was in the correct park, DHS. That would have made room for Tron in Epcot. Life would have been slightly better, but it's mildly enjoyable.

I do have to wonder if a lot of reason why that is happening is guests not used to rides like that.

Lousy items:
(1)"Screens, why did it have to be screens"
Not one mechanical, 3-dimensional animated figure.
$500 million budget and yet feels like $200 million ride, such an extremely poor use of money
(2) pre show videos be corny and an embarrassment with the worst script and acting this side of Arnold Jackson Drummond and Screech doing their thing on Different Strokes and Saved by Bell
(3) queue ain't so great either.....far cry from Flight of Passage, Pirates, Rise and Yeti

Great items:
(1) smoothest coaster ride vehicles ever built. Such a comfortable ride and cool looking train
(2) soundtracks
(3) coaster track layout and its length impress
Are you including the bit on the Star Destroyer as part of Rise's queue? I'm iffy on whether that should be counted or not since it feels like a part of the ride. I think the part of the queue in the Resistance base is pretty weak tbh, Smugglers Run's queue is a lot better.

oh you raise a solid point and we need to think this through better. Separating Rise's queue from "ride" (if you will) is not an easy task.
It's one of these 3 I believe:

1)Rise queue ends once we step on transport with the calamari dude AA and then the Q picks back up until we reach the trackless 8-person cars. But under that theory we would have a pretty unique sequence of: Q, Ride, Q, Ride........ and thus, the total Q would be quite substantial.

or

2)Q ends once we board the 8 seat vehicle which would make the queue extremely long and elaborate.

or

3)Q ends once we step on squid AA transport.

I don't know which of these 3 it is.

Smugglers Run's queue is a lot better.
Maybe, I'm not sure.

Yeah, it's tricky. For a while, I thought it ended once you get on the transport. But then a friend brought up how clever it was to continue the queue through such an amazingly well themed & immersive area, which made rethink things a bit.

Buuuut, I still consider the queue as ending once you get on the transports.

The majority of people getting off the ride feel queasy.
Don’t shoot the messenger. Not my words.
There's no doubt some people riding this may get queasy. Majority? I doubt it. Otherwise, you'd hear about people throwing up on every coaster every hour. You don't. Also, that doesn't necessarily make it a bad ride either. From what I hear, it's many guests' favorite ride.

Majority is over half. Which is the amount polled by ride operations after riding that reported feeling queasy.

And that is fine, I'm sure its a fine ride, but for me personally, its just another ride I don't want to ride to be wrecked for the rest of the day. Mission Space and Guardians are 2 that I won't ride so that whole side (with the wasted space of Wonders) is useless to me now.
