When I was there, they knew groups were being called so fast that if you were in an early BG, as long as you showed up after your time, they were letting you in.

We had an 11:30 lunch at Space 220 and our boarding group alerted right at 11:30. I asked one of the CMs at the blue awning in the park what I should do. She very plainly told me that I should attend my 11:30 a.m. lunch and go to Guardians anytime after that. She said that as long as I'm there before 8:00 p.m. they'll still let me ride. As long as you have a boarding group and it has already been called you can wait until the end of the day to ride if you want. I wouldn't but you can. One thing after another kept getting in the way and we ended up at Guardians sometime around 2:30 or 3:00 and walked right on in.

and yeah that’s my point, does this attraction really need VQ at this point?

To me it makes sense when an in-demand attraction is brand new and the reliability is iffy to use VQ. But why keep it up at this point?

Also… are any other wdw attractions VQ only?

I'm not sure it even makes sense then, because it has a significant effect on crowding in the rest of the park.

It definitely doesn't make sense now.

Got up at 6:55 at 7 refreshed and got a boarding group at 850am. Also purchased I LL at 230 and am currently at The Grand Floridai. Gonna try and get boarding group for the 1pm slot

You won't be able to get a BG at the 1pm drop since you already got one at 7am.

I canceled that one immediately and was able to get a 1pm VQ. I was totally gonna be here til afternoon anyways

You should have just kept that one. You could have used it anytime after your boarding group was called.
