You don’t like the standard Universal Attraction Experience?

Watch out!
Oh no!
I’m gonna get you!
Hold on!
Aaaaaa-eeeeeee!

Well, the EPCOT Attraction Experience has its own problems:

You are going on a standard training exercise
You are on a standard training exercise
The standard training exercise went fine
Please hand your full vomit bags to the attendant on the left

Admittedly, that last line only applies to one ride, but still...

People complain about the “something goes wrong” plotline, but that’s a very broad description that encompasses a vast, vast majority of pop films and novels as well. The alternative is the “everything goes fine” storyline - or the “amusing history lesson,” but Disney ripped most of those out.

A couple of thoughts.
I think he mentioned the size of the building to make it understood that this is something bigger than Slinky Dog Dash. (Which I thoroughly enjoy) He wanted to emphasize that this is intended to be an E ticket ride. (Can I still use E ticket or is that considered passé here)

They keep referring to this as a 'gravity building'. That leaves me to believe that this will not be like Gringotts in that we won't pause for a projection scene. I keep thinking it will be more like Rockin' Roller Coaster in that you get one initial energy input and then coast the rest of the way. But then again, I am just guessing.

E-Ticket is still a thing, but it can be a slippery thing. You have what was originally E-Tickets. Then you have what modern Imagineers to be E-Tickets (which they don't advertise). Then you have what people consider E-Tickets. The Venn diagram doesn't always perfectly sync.

Gravity building was the moniker for the big building in which Rock n Rollercoaster took place (where gravity took over). It's now used for any such indoor warehouse for coaster regardless if it's all gravity or not.

I mean, is this really all that groundbreaking? Isn’t it Gringotts 2, basically?

Grimgotts wasn't all rollercoaster. It stopped you to watch a scene. Gringolts was the stereotypical SCREENZ! ride of Universal. GotG is supposed to be all coaster once you launch, but, there will be controlled turns so you face certain scenes. So, rather than whizzing by a scene on your right, the vehicle will turn and you strafe it, and then maybe ride backwards for a while. So, it's in the same family as Greenvolts, but with a noticeable difference.

Chapek, who analysts have annointed as a likely successor to Disney Chairman Bob Iger, drew oohs and aahs from the crowd when he showed off the next level of animatronics coming to Star Wars land at Hollywood Studios in 2019. He called it the most expressive and life-like ever built, with a greater range of motion. He then showed a video of what he called Stuntronics, which looked like robots who can do a back flip and soar through the air like Iron Man. Some of those characters will be put to work in the new hotel coming to Orlando that will make guests feel like they have entered a spaceship, he said
The writer of that article seemed very disjointed. It's like they skipped back and forth between topics with very little transition - making the info bleed together.

Anything relevant to the GotG coaster has already been linked or shown in this thread so far.

Everything else in there somewhat seemed to be related to the Star Wars hotel or SWL

I really hope so. If this turns out to be a bigger version of Gringotts, just with a different IP, this will be a lot of hype and
a lot of disappointment.

I am thinking just based on the size of the building, the height and discussion on many helix this should be quite different from Gringotts. I am foreseeing less screens and story telling during the actual ride but definitely more movement and physical sensation.

I'm looking forward to the GotG ride but I think I may be even more excited about the queue potential - from the looks of it, this could be really immersive, similar to Space Mountain. SM has held up so well over time not because of the actual ride itself but from the overall holistic experience. I'm hoping GotG will have that same gestalt effect.

I feel I have seen this ride type before, and ridden something similar at Universal.

Either way, I just hope this is a very fun, well done ride!!
