Based on personal conversations with people I book trips for. Been a TA for 15 years now so I’ve gather lots of data in a sense on who goes to Disney and what they enjoy and what they don’t like. Not the largest sample given the attendance figures but gives me a great idea of why Disney is what it is in its current state.

It’s hard to sell trips when you don’t believe it’s a good value anymore...

OK

Good value doesn't mean people above a certain age aren't excited about the new additions though. Still not sure how you drew that conclusion.

Like us here, that's still a small percentage IMO. I can say in my own experience many are actually excited and it ranges in age. But it doesn't speak for a majority.

The issue is outspoken David Bautista, the rest seem like they would show up. Conveniently Drax was strongly rumoured as not being featured at WDW because of the Universal contract. I don't know if we ever had a solid answer about that.

So maybe it will work out weirdly ok?

Speaking of Drax...I re-watched Awesome Mix Live (which I miss), and I noticed that they name dropped Drax a couple times, so I'm not sure if this means Disney *can* use Drax for the attraction, but either way I agree with you that it'll all work out okay...somehow

You’d think with Disney buying the fox properties and many of those being represented in universal parks they could come to a gentleman’s agreement going forward on use of properties going forward

Many? I can only really think of Simpson’s. Unless you’re going into HHN territory and even then there was no problem doing Alien vs Predator even though Disney had Alien.

Certainly wasn’t trying to blanket a whole generation, just observations I’ve had over the years. Just pointing that out here as I have in the past. I realize not all folks that are in their 20’s and 30’s think GotG is a good direction and also realize that people in their 40’s /50’s and 60’s don’t all hate the new direction of Epcot. Just a sampling of what I have seen has made me lean a certain way. Didn’t mean to offend you if that’s what I did.:happy:

From today.

A view of the transition tunnel, including some new scaffolding.

Work on the panels on the gravity building.

Some panels installed on the West side of the building, including a door.

On the inside, some various equipment. I believe these are being removed, not install.

Some work out from, with new scaffolding.

Parts of the paint job when the pavillion went from UoE to Ellen's are visible again with the solar panels gone. Neat!

The equipment you mention being removed appear to contractor job boxes where they keep their tools for the project.

Unlike most of the other characters from the GoTG movies, Drax dates back to before the Universal deal, so the character might be wrapped on in that deal.

Not that I think the creation date of the character really has anything to do with it, but I'm pretty sure all of the major characters from the Guardians movies predate the Universal deal, some by decades.

Groot - Nov 60
Drax - Feb 73
Gamora - June 75
Starlord - Jan 76
Rocket - Summer 76

That said, the original Guardians team was the one you see at the end of GoTG vol2 (with Stallone). The modern Guardians team didn't start appearing as the GotG together until summer 2008, and thats why they've been skirted around the Universal deal.

I have since retracted my statement since it was clearly wrong.
