Great attendance at TK over the weekend

I visited the parks over the weekend, and Saturday I went to the Magic Kingdom after a trip to the Studios. Since The Timekeeper is going back to seasonal status on August 14th, and who knows if it'll ever open again, I decided to see it.

To my surprise, it was very crowded! There was many more people behind me from where I took that photo, and the theater was full. Also, it seemed like everyone was enjoying the show. Could a rise in attendance save Nine-Eye and the Timekeeper? :)

dont know, but if they kept it, id like to see a new film. im kind getting tired of the current one. ive seen that one the last three visits. good, but a new film would feel like a whole new attraction.

It's only been open once in the last 8 years during the time I've been there. I wish that they could open it once and awhile for those of us that go on the off seasons. It would be like a whole new attraction to US  .

You should check the counter for the attraction. I once looked at Rock n' Rollercoaster's right before the park closed and it had over 50,000 on the ride just for that day.

i saw it once, but i don't remember much of it. so i would love to see it in the off season, or maybe if i can make it before the 14th.

If they are able to keep the TimeKeeper AA and build a new ride around him, preferably not a "screen" ride, that would be the ultimate solution. :D

I've seen TK once and loved it. The only thing about it I did not like was having to stand up the whole time (if I remember correctly). Same with the Canada film. If I am wrong, please correct me. But I remember standing to watch it. I'd hate to see it close because i think it is very good. Just add some seats! After walking around the parks all day, you don't want to stand.

Am I in a minority because I don't have an issue standing through a circle vision film?
:)Maybe I am the minority....who knows. Maybe it is just that I am old:dazzle: and a bit confused from the heat.

Kadee you are not that old. I agree with Barnum42, I have no problem with standing, even being in my upper 40's. Is the reason that it is seasonal because of the number CMs it takes to operate it? It can't take that many people to press a button to start the film. Or is it that there is no merchandi$ing (where they make their big buck$) for it?

Hey now. Are you saying that Disney's only obligation is to make money? Oh wait, that was Eisner. :fork:

Yes, this must be a terrible attraction for management. There are no T-shirts to sell, no "Timekeeper - The Game" sales, no clones in 3 other parks.... What were those goofy Imagineers thinking when they designed this? An attraction without marketing tie-ins? That's.... that''s... GENIUS!!!

Judging from past posts I was assuming you to be in the minority as lots of people have said they don't like standing for the show.

I spend most of the day on my feet - be it walking around the parks drinking in the sights or just waiting to get on a ride.+

Just checked your profile - "OLD"? I'm older than you (albeit by just six moths)

J/K.....I'm just glad that someone is! I feel ancient sometimes; then other times, I still feel like a teenager. But I do enjoy sitting down in an attraction but it doesn't keep me from going. We just go from sun-up to sun-down every day we are there. No spa treatments, no sleeping in, etc... We're on vacation! No time for rest! :)
