I know, I know, First World Problems. But I know it'll be up to 2 years before we head back to WDW, but I hear its' siren song a-calling. And the kids are feeling it too. My youngest, who is 3 (only 2 on our last trip) asks me every so often "Next weekend, can we go to Disney World? And then we'll go to the hotel? And we'll swim in the pool? And I'll go down the slide and you'll catch me?" That baby slide in the member pool at Bay Lake Tower rocked her tiny world. And my 6 year old is starting to feel braver. Haunted Mansion was jarring for her, but she ruled Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and now wants to do all of their roller coasters. Even my wife, the least brainwashed of our group, is talking about it. We've got too many home expenses, especially a roof that needs repair. But Disney's on all our minds.

Just getting it out of my system. Continue doing what you were doing.

I, too, can relate.
We are focusing our finances on fixing up the house we bought recently and the car(s) we need to buy soon. And I am afraid to see the medical bills from surgery I had last week. Ugh-being an adult is hard! May 2017 here we come. Until then, I'll be on here a lot living through others.

So heartwarming that your kids are this into it all. They will be SUPER excited when you do make your triumphant return. I remember going for the first time at 3.5 years old and we didn't return until I was 8 and we stayed at the brand new Broadway section of All Star Music. For four years I loved watching Disney movies, looking at the pictures in guide books, and grilling my parents about what they remembered from our last trip. Fun memories.

I feel your pain, I am only (?) six months away from a trip but I had surgery recently and am laid up at home. The Destination Channel has been showing "Disney" shows recently and it has been murder to just sit in the house and watch, I just have to watch them all. Of course the 100 inches of snow outside the house doesn't help either.

Only 100 inches? Lucky...

Well I think it was actually 108 inches but I rounded it off. Now when I finally got someone to shovel off my roof that snow added to what was on the ground pretty much covered the windows on the first floor of the house. Come August when I am at WDW if my DW says anything about the heat I am just going to say "Remember February?"

I actually wanted some snow this winter. Shouldn't living in Minnesota mean you have snow on the ground in winter to at least go sledding?

Man, I feel like you just quoted my life (except for medical bills which were last year). We have a car that will need to be replaced and some repairs on the house coming up. Worst part is that I went to WDW last year and the fix wore off some time ago. The DW doesn't feel the need to go to WDW nearly as often and thus I can't always get the support for a trip each year. Plus, I want to wait until the Hub, at least, if finished. The snow didn't help but -17 temperatures sucks all day long. I've given up on feeling my toes again for another month or so. So, I might get a trip to the World next year or will wait until Avatar opens. If that happens, I'm staying at the Contemporary or Bay Lake Tower as a reward for suffering.

Yep, I get what you're going through. You'll enjoy this-we went to Disney this November but had not the most relaxing trip as my husband didn't feel well the whole time and then we closed on the house 5 days after we came home so we were focused on that and dealing with finance and lawyer calls the whole time. 3 months ago seems like we went a year ago. So weird!

I have been down with a broken foot and Disney obsessed! But my husband changed our direct TV package and got rid of Destination America! What a cruel joke! But I had Already DVR'd the Disney shows last month :)

I'm with ya. We were planning my kids' first trip cross country to Disneyland for this summer after taking them to Disney World a bunch of times. Then the heater broke and we needed a new one, my husband got a new boss and needs to go into the office more so he needs a new car, and our windows in the house all need to be replaced. I am singing the Disney blues.

You are all playing my song! I wanted so bad to jump in the car and drive south today!

I was talking with my manager today and told her the same thing. Some days, it is difficult to not swing by the house, pack bags quickly, ensure the wife is in the car before leaving, and head off. Of course, there is a nasty winter storm between Florida and myself and thus this may not be the best time to do that.

Rats.

Yesterday my boss asked me if I was having fun at work and I said “No. I would rather be at Disney World.” I have a hankering that’s so bad, and no trips planned.
