Gospel Brunch at HOB

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
A couple of quick questions.
Has anyone ever attended this and if so was it any good? Do you need tickets in advance for a visit at this time of year.

Cheers

Thanks yellow shoes I had read that one and thats what set the doubt in about going. Im now thinking of doing Boumas, or Ohanas as an alternative as they always seem to get good press here.

Yeah, the food at HOB isn't very good in general. It's essentially high priced fast food.

The restaurant design is worth seeing, though. Stop by for a cocktail or something. It has really funky/cool folk art everywhere.

HOB used to have the absolute BEST fried chicken!!! :slurp:

For some reason unknown to me they do no longer serve it...:(

Based on my last visit (and reviews I've also read) I'd give it a pass - Do drop in to check out the atmosphere though...it's a really kewl looking place! :)

I think, like Planet Hollywood, and Hard Rock Cafe, the chain has grown so large, that the attention to the menu, and quailty has gone down.

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
The HOB here in Chicago still has a quality Brunch...and the food is still good to...could be a poor manager or chefs though..sorry to hear the one in DTD is so poor:(

I was unhappy with my meal at House of Blues, Orlando. I had been told how incredible the food was there (not Orlando), but it wasn't. There wasn't anything special about the food at all, blah. The atmosphere is great though, but not worth eating the food. I would go to Boma instead, now that's incredible! :D

hey there, I have never eaten at HOB, but I did price the Gospel Brunch and it was an outrageous price. The three people I was traveling with at the time, heard the price and agreed to pass on it!! I dont recall if it was 30 dollars a person or more, but it was enough to scare of my friends. I wasnt so into going that it mattered to me. Belle

I hate being uncertain about stuff like that so I went in on WWW.WDWIG.COM and Looked up the price. it is $30 for an adult without gratuity or tax!!! Kinda pricey for a Sunday Brunch if you ask me. Also the menu didnt seem super extensive. Id go have breakfast in Chef Mickey's instead!! LOL LOL Belle

I'm sure you are most probably correct.

It's still a darn shame about that fried chicken though! :(
