Gift Cards on the Wish?

Good morning! Wife and I are 5 days out from cruising on the Wish, then spending a day at Epcot Center for Food & Wine.

To make sure we don’t go crazy in our spending, we are loading gift cards to use for the trip….makes it easy at the F&W booths.

Question: can I do the same for DCL or do I need to transfer the cards to ship credits? What is the best option?

I go to Guest Services on the ship and have any Disney Gift Cards applied to my on-board account. Any non-refundable credit (like from a Travel Agent) is used first, then any refundable balance (like Disney Gift Cards) is used next. Any remaining balance would be applied to the Credit Card you entered during on-line check in.
