Getting to and from Boardwalk

What methods of transportation are there available from the Boardwalk in the evening. I want to eventually end up back at Wilderness Lodge. I think I'll end up with no choice except for taking a taxi, but I just wanted to check.

The family and I will be at WDW late Oct - early Nov. Any advice is appreciated.

Go to Downtown Disney and take a business to Wilderness Lodge. Don't go the Ticket & Transportation Center because there is no bus to Wilderness Lodge (we found out the hard way!). You could also take a boat from Magic Kingdom or take a monorail from Epcot to the Comptemporary and then the boat launch to Wilderness Lodge. But all that depends on how late you go to the Wilderness Lodge and what the park hours are. I think your best bet is Downtown Disney to the resort.

This really depends on how late you plan on staying at the Boardwalk. There is no straight shot to the resorts. You have to go to one of the parks or DD then take transportation to WL. The closet park is MGM or Epcot. From the park take the bus back to Wilderness Lodge.

But again it all depends on how late the parks are open. DD is open later so that's the other option if the parks are closed.

Well, in order to get to and from the Boardwalk with WDW transportation, you can take a bus from any park, TTC or DTD. Now getting back to your resort after all of the parks close is not too difficult, just time consuming. After the parks close, your best bet is to take the WDW bus to DTD. At DTD, get on your resort bus.
Other than that, like you said, take a taxi, but get a price before you get in the car!

Just reread your post. It works the opposite way, too! I assume your staying at the Lodge? So hop on the launch to the Comptemporary, jump on the Monorail to Epcot and walk through to the Boardwalk. (I love both resorts btw!)

We just got back from the Boardwalk Inn & I have to say I was not impressed with the bus service. We shared with 4 other hotels and the bus was a long time coming and very crowded, especially at night.

Not sure which resort you are staying at, but if you don't have access to a car then plan on a very long trip.
You could walk thru EPCOT and hit the monorail to the Contemporary and use the launch to the WL, take the boat from the MK or use a bus, but remember you may have to wait for any of these.
When we went to downtown Disney we chose to drive ourselves over as the bus just didn't cut it... way too crowded.

A taxi may cost a few more $$, but it may save you a lot of time & aggravation in the long run.

Yeah I'd have to agree. Bussing from the Epcot resorts to Downtown Disney is a nightmare, but if you don't have a car its your only choice. Because of that we only get to make one trip to DTD each time we are there.
