Genie+ and Rope Drop Possible?

If you want to do rope drop, you need to be on the buses well before 7. Can you work Genie+ from the bus, or do you need to do it from the hotel?

Genie+ can be used with data or wifi. So on the bus, outside the park or inside works. Just don’t stop right as you get through the tapstiles and block everyone else.

Genie + selections will work anywhere after 7:00 AM, provided you have a resort reservation, checking in the same day, a park reservation for that day and have wifi or cellular data access. We made LL selections from the Philadelphia airport.

Genie+ does not require a resort reservation. Just a park ticket and reservation for the park that day. (And if booking for a park other than the one you have a park reservation for, you must have a hopper ticket)

Disney hotel guest, off-site hotel guest, local FL resident, all have access to G+ at 7am.

"Fancy ride" ILLs are the only thing that a hotel reservation is involved in, and that just determines if you can buy at 7am or at park open.
