This has only been posted several thousand times over the past few months.:brick:

I think GM is keeping it, as I think they still have sponsorship, but it is always under scrutiny. One of the things that comes to mind is that it's renewed on a periodic basis, perhaps from month to month. Not sure, though.

But seriously, it's need discussed ad nauseam. Run a search.

It hasn't been discussed in the light of the chief or czar or whatever he's called getting that kind of money. Seriously, how is it they keep sending tax payer money from a government run company to a privately run company while shelling out that kind of money to one person.

There is a name for this type arrangement folks........:zipit:

I do not foresee GM leaving TT anytime in the near future.

And really jt, this discussion has been had numerous times.

*waits to see who calls General Motors Government Motors first *

Seriously Jt, go find a different forum to bring this up in. Keep your politics out of these, no matter how you may attempt to disguise it as a WDW discussion.

Last time I checked Test Track is at WDW and GM is the sponsor. No?

This news really brings that sponsorship into question. This is beyond unethical, it might be illegal.

Spare me the weak link. Really, it's a poor veil on your part. Especially throwing around terms like illegal and unethical, not in reference to the sponsorship of course, but the monies being paid out by the government.

Again, there are thousands of political forums for you to peddle your opinions in. Do it there, and stop trying to justify a weak WDW connection to bring them in here.

How's this EPCOT? This reeks of your personal politics, and I'm not falling for the little trick.

Maybe you should let people decide what they want to discuss instead of this blatent attempt to censor. If you don't like the thread, leave.

This is a valid thread especially in light of the breaking news. It's all about GM's sponsorship of an Epcot pavilion. That is not political.

Yeah, you realize you didn't even mention anything to do with WDW in this post?

This is your way of bringing political talk to a forum that bans this kind of discussion.

Sounds like someone's in need of attention on a Friday night.

No, Jt, you began this thread about what the government is paying the head of GM. Then you moved onto such payments being unethical and illegal, with a couple of other shots tossed it. And to justify it all you tossed out the GM sponsorship as if there was some great connection between them all, when the amount of monies GM spends on any sponsorships is miniscule at best compared to their overall budget. But you already know all this, so you just try to tie your politics into another tired GM-Test Track thread.

Personally, I don't care what your politics are. But, like mine, they are supposed to be kept out of these forums. Not my rules, by the way......

The news just broke. Trust me, this has to be making Disney very uneasy with their GM arrangement now. This is hugggggggggggge news for the GM/Disney partnership.

Disney is in effect receiving a tax payer subsidy through GM while Test Track sponsorship derived profit is benefitting one individual.

Wow.
Just wow.

And it's been that way for almost a year now. GM has been on unsteady ground. Yet, TT just got a refurb.

Yeah, wow.

I had to explain what I thought was obvious to those not so quick witted.

Present company excluded I'm sure.

The enablers are out in force tonight
