Sorry if this sounds dumb, but when I was on IOA I enter 2 times to see the Fury of Poseidon (before they change it) and look careful at the end for the incredible ending that everybody has told me but I didn’t see it!!!

What was I supposed to see????

You mean the Poseidon vs. Zeus one?

Never saw it in person. But the thing is you are in this huge room and all of a sudden you are back in the first "seal" room.

The new version of the attraction still concludes in the same room where the original ending took place. I'm guessing the "incredible" ending you're talking about was either the battle between Zeus and Poseidon itself, or the parting water tunnel that you walk through (which is still a part of the new version).

What exactly has changed on this. I did the original, but i read that thgey had changed a lot of, including that posidon was no longer the baddy?

They've basically created an entirely new story using the existing sets. Poseidon is the hero of the new version, with a cast member "research assistant" escorting you through the attraction.

It's called Poseidon's Fury, not Fury of Poseidon. Anyway, you are suposedly transported from room ro room. All of that right after fire and water shoots everywhere.

OK, now I understand what I didn’t saw it, at the end of the battle all the lights go dark when they come on again there is the seal door that the Oracle open before de vortex, but let me tell you if you don’t explain me I didn’t see it, because as when the light come on again there are still a lot of smoke is very hard to see this effect, so I wonder why bother in this effect, that I imagine if very expensive, if few people notice.

And now this change of bad guy don’t know if is a good idea, I like the old one.

I have seen both of the shows and yes, the final "effect" is still there...but the original storyline was soooo much better...I wouldn't miss the original...I only go to the new one if I'm with someone that has never seen it.

Is it true that in the original that Zues and Posidion were animated? I only saw the original once, and I kind of remember the characters looking the same as they do now, but other people say otherwise...

Yes in the original, Zues and Poseidon were CGI...granted, Darkanon and Poseidon look more realistic NOW...The ORIGINAL was FAR superior!

Zeus is NO longer in Poseidon's Fury. In the original version, Zeus was the keeper or teller of the story. But, when he was in his "Zeus" form, he was CGI. Poseidon was never an "actual person." In the original he was CGI but in the updated version, he's not.

In the original, a storyteller comes down from the ceiling and starts to tell the story of poseidon and zeus. Poseidon was the bad guy and Zeus was the good guy. Zeus of course wins and sends Poseidon back to Atlantis where he is trapped.

In the updated version..a very DUMB "archeologist" fumbles his way into the chamber and we're all trapped, the only way to get out is by going into Atlantis...(Darkanon has trapped us) and we must bring Poseidon his Trident. Once he has the Trident, a big battle happens, then he gets hurt and the dumb archeologist saves the day.

In the new version I think you got part of the story wrong. The dumb archeologist (his or her name is always Tailor) gives the trident back to posidion by placing it on his statue, and then the archeologist disappears for the rest of the show, and doesn't save the day. Posidion does...

I've seen the original Poseidon's Fury.

The new one is absolutely horrible in my view.

Redressing the sets: excellent redressing. Very stylish.

The Story: ghastly. I hate Darkanon. Hate him as a character, not for being evil.

THEY KILLED THE FINAL EFFECT. They bring you into the room after the Water Vortex, Then everything goes dark, the walls lift up, and the arena is right there where the final battle takes place. Then the lights go out after the battle, and your back in the room. THE THING IS YOU KNEW WHERE YOU CAME FROM. IF THEY JUST STUCK WITH THE ORIGINAL ENDING, IT WOULD WORK.

ORIIGINAL ENDING:You are suddenly in the arena, and are transported back to the room from whence you came BEFORE the water vortex.

Because of this redressing of the first room, they can't connect it to the ending, so they just flip on the lights and put down the wall before you enter the arena, so you get the fact that you're in a room. Its still neat, but nowhere near the cool effect of the wall just appearing out of nowhere, no less 100 feet from where you were before. This new ending just ruins the whole thing.

Oh AND DARKANON IS SUCH A COOKIE CUTTER VILLIAN. Maybe I'm just being picky or bias, but I don't like him compared to poseidon being the evil guy.

I'm not even touching the fact the show revolves around the silly tour guide and the triton we couldn't care less about (objects don't substitute character. Imagine if the Cat in the Hat was now "windows, doors, and neat objects". Not much of a ride)

The keeper was better, cause of the twist in the battle sequence.

There I vented. Sorry if I missed something. I had to get that out of my system..

yes u r all right the original was better i also have seen both and maybe its just because i was younger when i saw the original version with zeus but everything about it was better and the enduing just fit so perfectly u started sumwhere at the begingin of the story and once u witnessed the force of poseidon then it transported u back ...i honestly hjave no damn clue how they did that by theway anyone wanna break it down for me?...anyways it boils down to they both r excellent shows one of the few shows i actually ever wanna sit through figuring i am a thrill seeker type not a sitter and watcher type...both were good but the old one was better...anyone no why they changed it in the first place?

Now, I've seen both, and I loved both. I enjoyed the first much better, though. Better final battle.

Anyways, is it just me, or does Darkanon have an uncanny resemblance to Darth Maul?
