Frozen at Epcot

I by no means have any info on this subject whatsoever, but I would assume yes? It'll be very popular as anything "Frozen" turns into a cluster-you-know-what of crowds and small humans. I'd be curious to see what ends up happening as WS opens at 11am so a FP cannot be used until then leaving fewer FP for it during the day compared to an attraction opening at 9am.

I think it will be a tier 1, and will likely have long waits. I'd choose it, but then I would be prioritizing for my almost 4 year old daughter with that. She's going to definitely want to ride that, but not wait hours to do so.

I still don't understand the frozen hating? Makes not sense the extreme reaction to anything frozen? Can someone explain why there is such extreme reaction to frozen. Why is this movie any different than other Disney successes.

To answer your question: I would say it will most definitely be Tier 1. I will be using a FP for it, of course. The only people who won't be are the people who are uninterested in experiencing it. There will be no other way to ride. I'm sure it will be hugely popular.

I'm not a big Frozen fan or anything but I like to ride all new attractions.

People to this day have problems having IP from a cartoon or a movie going into Epcot due to Epcot once was even if the ip fits Epcot. What I meant by IP is intellectual property.

In Frozen's case, the ride doesn't fit Epcot based on what is known about the ride and the fact it replaced Maelstrom. Maelstrom as an attraction actually showed stuff about Norway and Frozen didn't. The Trolls that were in Maelstrom actually is part of Norway's Folklore and that is what made Maelstrom acceptable as a ride for Norway.

The Frozen Ever After attraction details mentioned about Arendelle celebrating Winter in Summer Festival and that actually has nothing to do Norway based on traditions Norway has or even in Norwegian literature or folklore .

As an Ip, Frozen is made for DHS and the Magic Kingdom more than Epcot.

So if they move it to MK or DHS that would have been ok?
At least it would have fit the parks theme. If Maelstrom would have stayed or been updated it would be great and the new Frozen ride would probably be more impressive than the simple overlay ita going to be now. People want a trackless frozen ride or a coaster like ride or a emv sleigh ride exploring Arendelle and its amazing secrets. Tokyo is a perfect example of a resort that is getting something that fits the seas of the world port theme and also gives Frozen, one of the best Disney movies and one of the best movies ever what it deserves. Epcot deserves better, Maelstrom deserves better and frozen deserves better.

It would be ok because you can use Frozen as a show for DHS and DHS also is being used for Franchises. DHS was made for shows, anything about movies or movie franchises in general like Disney is doing with Star Wars.

MK would fit due to the theme of the Park and Frozen can fit to Fantasy Land matter of fact.

Having Frozen moving to Epcot is a whole different animal compare to those two parks. For something like Frozen to work in Epcot, it has to due something like the Characters of Frozen Introducing guests to folklore, traditions or something from Norway and that is even a big stretch due to Frozen's roots came from Denmark.

What Tokyo Disney Seas is doing is right like Orlando678 mentioned. Frozen fits in Disney Seas by having a Scandinavia Port. The nature of Disneyseas fits Frozen if you look at some of the attractions Tokyo Disney sea already has.

There are two parts to this, general Frozen hate, and Frozen at Epcot hate. Frozen at Epcot hate is because they are changing a ride that was about Norway, into an attraction about a fictional land. There are people who just don't want to see Epcot go in that direction.

The general Frozen hate I believe comes from the over exposure it got. It's a decent movie, but Frozen is everywhere, you just can't escape it. I am not just talking about in the parks, but in general. I was just in a local roadside hot dog place today and they have a train display, and on the one of the flatbed train cars that had the figures of the Frozen characters.
