Free meal plan

That's so odd that they wouldn't let you add a date in September. My vacation, including the free meal plan, is scheduled from September 12-20 and just a week ago I had to shift the days a bit from what was originally September 8-16. Same amount of days though. Maybe adding on changes the offer.

I also thought this was odd...we booked for sept 29th-oct 9th....sept 29th being the last day of the free dining offer...and our whole trip was covered...ive since changed our reservations and resort 2x and we were still able to keep our free dining plan!

With apologies to those who plan their vacations around this offer, I really hope Disney never offers free dining again. I think it has done a great disservice to WDW as a whole. I think it's sad we've gotten to the point where people expect free dining when they plan their trips.

I know I'll be in the minority, but that's my $.02.

You could look at it another way. Because of the free dining we went in August of last year and then again in Feb. We just couldn't pass up the great deal. We usually go every other year. I think WDW made out all right on us.

Yeh we definately made up for it other ways. T-shirts, hats, perfume, you name it.

But I gotta say this: I like the Quick service plan much better than the table service plan. I just don't like having to be someplace at a certain time.

Does anybody know this? I love staying at FQ but the free dining plan is for table service. Can I opt out of the table service and get the Quick service plan instead?

You're in luck. Rumor is the mods have gone to QS instead of TS. At least that is the case with the recent batch of PIN codes.

My guess is no final decision has been made yet and it will depend on bookings.

I believe the rule was that your arrival date could not be any later than September 29th, so even is that was your first day you're still in the clear.
