If you live in the UK or Ireland you can now get free dining from 5th July to 18th Nov, i know they have done this for a few years now but its always later in the year and low season. It wont be long until this is running all year long, it could be that bookings are low or that Harry Potter is drawing more of the UK visitors this summer away from Disney either way it doesn't feel like the reduction in discounts is happening yet!

How about the people that live in the USA????? Are we second class citizens???????.....IT'S NOT FAIR!!!!!
You get Disney Visa offering DDP earlier than for others, easier access, less security hassles when flying, money the value of which for Disney vacations doesn't fluctuate wildly, free shipping with D23 membership, access to Disney contests... I could go on.

Wow, I'm kinda surprised they are doing this of anyone (UK, US, etc.). I hope this isn't a bad sign that bookings generally aren't meeting expectations.

I think of Disney's discount-to-death program sorta like car sales lots. You can either attempt to make money by sticking to your prices and selling at higher cost to less people or you can discount the crap outta your product and attempt to make money by selling for less to more people. Disney seems to like the selling for less to more people. This is yet another discount so the big 'D' can pack 'em in like sardines to try and make a buck on generic over-priced merchandise and a few meals above & beyond what they're giving away for "free". The problem is when companies operate in volume they tend to have less time or energy to pay attention to quality and detail in the customer's experience. Someone bring the Disney-Gods over here so I can whack 'em and maybe get the light to come on in their little pea-brains.

Don't be surprised if it gets closer to July (I would guess towards the end of May) and you see this same offer released for everyone. Didn't the free dining last year get offered to UK, etc. travelers first?

Heck, if I had to fly six thousand miles, put up with going through security for international flights arriving here in the States, and then spend my holiday trip surrounded by us Americans. I would want more than just free dining.

I'm an AP holder and received a free dining offer for August to October of this year. Did nothing for me, but the offers are out there.....

So, to get free dining in November for my trip, I would just have to figure out how to set up a UK mailing address that forwards back to the US so I can "pretend" to have dual residency?

This, of course, is all a farce, but I am fearing the cost of my Mid-November trip now that we are in the world of "NO MORE DISNEY WORLD DISCOUTS!"

Families flying 4000 miles to another country have to considerably more advance planning to do then say a family 1100 from Boston. Disney could offer the best deal imaginable 2 months in advance in the UK and few would be able to take advantage of it. Also UK guests tend to stay 2 to 3 weeks on average where as American guests average around 1 week. In a nut shell UK guests spend more so they get more. The same principle works in Vegas. If you are playing $5000 blackjack hands all night the casinos will comp you much more than if you drop $50 on the quarter slots.

Right now Disney is following the same pattern that they do every year so this really should not be a surprise to anyone. PIN codes to select people and UK deals come first. If the numbers aren't where they need to be you will start to see AP, Florida resident and general public promotions until the resorts book up.

Are you saying that American's want to be Freeloaders?

People from overseas traditionally come for 2 weeks and spend a lot of money. I don't mind giving them free dining.

That and its fewer people and less money given away then if it were a promotion here in the States.

Normally, some promotions for UK guests are out there for a year in advance. Most UK guests book at 9 months or more (normally closer to a year) in advance of their trips.
