Took a Disney cruise. Ship stopped in Nassau. I could at least say I went inside and grabbed a bite to eat.

Four Seasons - Transportation to Parks & General Thoughts

We spent a week at Atlantis and was never bored. So many different pools and we tried them all. Best lazy (nothing lazy about it) river we have ever been on. Aquarium was fun to explore. Not a gambler, so only walked through the casino. Enjoyed seeing the yachts docked at the marina. Took the water taxi over to Nassau a couple of times to go to the staircase and fort but spent most of the week onsite at Atlantis. Local food kiosks had some amazing conch fritters. Food in general was very expensive everywhere there.

One morning we walked down toward the end of Cabbage Beach and had the place almost to ourselves. Paradise Island indeed.

For a two week stay, I would split. Do BC for the convenience to the parks and transportation and then spend the second week in the luxury/sanctuary of the Four Seasons. Everyone has a different financial pain threshold, but I think the Four Seasons is a lot of money to spend if you will be away from the hotel for 12-14 hours a day for park time. Lots of personal preference involved, but I really like the park time followed by decompression time when I have the luxury of a longer trip. I've heard more than one commment that kids preferred the Four Seasons to the parks....the hotel is that good. If you get cabin fever while there, you can Uber over to POFQ and take the boat to Disney Springs....that is a fun adventure. The monorail resorts are also a short Uber ride away if you want to resort hop. No matter how you do it, including the Four Seasons is a great choice if you can foot the bill. One the of the nicest hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world. We would go there as a destination even without WDW nearby.Hi everyone,
We’re planning a 2-week stay in September and usually stay at the Yacht but fancy a change this year. The Four Seasons is looking like the top pick among us but I’m a bit worried about the transport to the parks.
3 adults travelling without children. We’ll do 3-4 pool days but will mostly be park hopping and going to Disney Springs. Has anyone stayed at the FS and found the transport to be lacking? We’ll get the occasional Lyft/Taxi but would rather not have to rely on them fully. Any advice really appreciated (even general comments on the hotel itself).

They do have transportation - it's a very high end luxury bus, sometimes even a Mercedes. You make the people boarding their Disney and Mears busses feel a bit plebeian, but there's entertainment and reclining leather seats so you forget about that soon enough. Put the money you save from the Disney hotel markup to Uber or MinnieVans, if you need to get somewhere quickly, though, as the busses run on a set schedule. While it's hidden in Golden Oak, it's still closer to MK than most Disney Resorts.
Having said that: Four Seasons is, without a doubt, the best hotel in Orlando and one of the best in Florida. Can't say enough good things about the staff (who remember you from Day 1 - try finding that at the GF outside of, maybe, club level), the food, the service, the spa, pool, etc. The list goes on and on. It's true luxury from top to bottom and I've been lucky enough to stay at some of the finest hotels in the world.
Standard rooms are amazing and blows anything in Disney's current portfolio out of the water, from the smart features to the custom-made bedding.
Make sure that you plan a full day (or at least two half days) for their amazing resort grounds. It's a water park in and of itself. PB&G, the pool restaurant, is a real standout, too.
Definitely have dinner at Capa - it's phenomenal.
One of the few non-Disney hotels on-property to have an operational partnership with Disney, so there are Disney CMs in the lobby for ticketing/park questions, character breakfasts, etc.
If the cost is anywhere close to Disney - book it without a question. If it's less, run don't walk.

Nice thoughts and spot on. It’s not even close. The spa is awesome too.
K. I'm just going to say it. If you are staying at the Four Seasons you shouldn't be relying on their "Free" transportation. Uber it. Everywhere. Or rent a car.
I did for sure. The only time I didn’t is to the MK bc it’s useless.
Unless you Uber it to the Contemporary - then walk.

Totally agree with most of the above in that the FS absolutely blows out of the water any of the Disney resorts. That said, if you are looking for that “Disney feel,” like so many guests are, you’re not going to get that at the FS. You will get a far superior resort in every way, but you will also get a resort that makes you feel like you could be anywhere else in the world, as opposed to knowing you are in WDW. That matters for some people, and not for others.

This is very true. We love the FS and the time and service but it doesn’t quite feel Disney. We also love being able to walk to Epcot or dhs and that’s just something you can’t get anywhere but the Epcot resorts.
This is why we start at the beach club for four days. Four days the FS after. Best of both worlds. We love walking the boardwalk too

I've toured the Bridge Suite and it's a hot mess, as is most of Atlantis.
They've needed a full-refurb for years and still haven't gotten it.

The whole point of Four Seasons is that it's not too Disney, not too themey. It's luxurious, classy, quiet and calm.
