Fort Wilderness Guests Relocated 8/13

Greetings all from the Geek Labs

I know I know I said last post this morning till the storm blew over. I am glad for this though since I have good friends stay at the camp ground.

Guests at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are being evacuated and will be relocated to Disney's Port Orleans Resort.

wow, i dont see why they would need to evac the lodge?? i can see the campgrounds, but it looks like id rather be in the lodge then at the PO resort. any reason?

The Wilderness Lodge & Fort Wilderness are two separate resorts...they are evacuating the CAMPGROUNDS not the Lodge. Tents & trailers are not a good place to be in any type of storm. :wave:

yeh, no kidding, unless you have a tent that they scale everest (no pun intended) with, i wouldnt think a tent was safe. I just read over "resort" and figured the lodge included.

The cabins are also being evacuated. I would not want to be in all those tall pines in a good blow!
