Ford focus or fiesta?

So it's time for a new car. I've limited it down to either a ford focus or a ford fiesta. I can get a top of the line fiesta for about the same price as a focus with only a couple options. They both get essentially the same mpg and such. I'm just curious if you guys have any experience with any of these cars. Is the focuses extra room and higher quality fit and finish worth the price? Or should I be going with the fiesta with way more toys and options?

My mom has worked for a Ford Dealership for over 30 years and would say to go with the Focus instead of the Fiesta

We have a 2008 Ford Focus & we love it! Especially the Sync system! It is essentially my husband's car (he drives an hour each way to work) but, I love to drive it when I am able to. We went from a Kia Rio & we like the Focus so much better! It is much better quality & it doesn't feel like you are driving a tin can.

That's hard to say without knowing what you are used to/expectations. I've driven the Focus several times as rentals and its a reasonable runabout. If it's your 'only' car - I'd recommend getting the larger car. I love the Sync in my Ford, but I have the touchscreen version. I did not like the sync version I had in the rentals.

Neither, they are both Fords. Or as we say in Britain, Dagenham Dustbins. Unless of course build quality is better in the US.
