FL Resident Tickets

Can I purchase a ticket for a guest to attend the parks? Everyone in my immediate family is an AP, we have an out of town guests coming to stay with us for a few days, who would like to go to the parks. We were thinking of purchasing a two day pass ($99 for Florida residents) and letting them use it.

Any thoughts?

Steve is right an adult needs a Florida picture I.D. to use Florida resident tickets however a child doesn't need I.D. .(I know this because my mom purchased tickets twice for my kids at florida resident rate and they didn't need I.D. because she was with them and she had a Florida I.D.).

They have biometrics at the ticket windows now. So if you buy a FL resident ticket, each person needs their own FL ID and will be asked for their biometrics at the time the ticket is printed.

Trust me, Disney isn't stupid and they're not going to let people CHEAT them.

If you buy them tickets and you are not with them and they do not have a Florida ID, they will be turned away :( Sorry...My parents live in Florida, we can not get tickets this way ever.
They will ask for a Florida ID. Don't waste money trust me.

And it has to be a government issued ID. I still have my NY driver's license and even though I brought my Sea World ID and pay stub showing that I am indeed a Florida resident, they made me pay the extra 130 bucks for my annual pass; which I thought was very lame....

I'd say that is worth a trip to the BMV for a quick DL change, even if you don't intend to stay in FL all your life it is worth the extra bucks to change it over for a while. FL get a lot of perks when it somes to tickets and room rates.

Nice emphasis on the word cheat. Some would argue that bringing more guest to the park utilizing the lowest cost option would be frugal and encouraged.

And really, at the end of the day if we brought them to the parks for 2 days the park would experience five more individuals to purchase food and rent a hotel room for a night. Instead, we are likely to only go for a day.

But yeah, we are CHEATING them.

Any adult that is going to get a ticket will need to present a Florida ID at the point of sale. They will simply not sell you X amount of Fl Resident tickets. There really is no good way around the safeguards that they have in place.

Justifying it to yourself anyway you want doesn't change the fact that RULES ARE RULES. Violating the rules is cheating. Plain and simple.

Just in case you're rusty on English, let me help you:
cheat

–verb (used with object)
1. to defraud; swindle: He cheated her out of her inheritance.

–verb (used without object)
4. to practice fraud or deceit: She cheats without regrets.
5. to violate rules or regulations: He cheats at cards.

–noun
8. a person who acts dishonestly, deceives, or defrauds: He is a cheat and a liar.
9. a fraud; swindle; deception: The game was a cheat.
Any of that sound familiar?

No. I was asking a question on whether it was allowed or not. Maybe you have problems being honest yourself and just assume everyone else is as dishonest as you.

Yeah riiiiiiiiight. Surrrrre. Ok, keep telling yourself that as you make excuses and try to find ways to cheat. :brick:

So done with this conversation. By all means though, keep talking to yourself if you prefer. Seems you enjoy it. That and breaking the rules that is.

If you reside in Florida for more than 30 days, you are required by law to get a Florida DL and transfer any vehicle registrations over to FL. If you think that $130 is a lame, your certainly not gonna like that traffic citation!!

In order to do this, you still have show proof of residency, just as if you were getting a DL...

Right, but Knightspast81 mentioned a Florida paycheck stub and being a FL resident.

But yeah, you should still get your FL DL too. hemloc is right - they WILL fine you for that unless you are only a part-time resident.
