First time

It was in 1971, The Magic Kingdom was new! Walking down Main Street and seeing the trollies, horses and hearing barbershop quartets. It was not crowded and the characters walked right up to you and goofed around. The music and the smells of popcorn and cotton candy and the lights. The magic shop was so cool. The penny arcade was the real thing and just charming. It was "magic" at first sight! I couldn't express the feeling when I was 7, but the feeling of that first time is still with me 41 years later. I guess growing up going to WDW throughout my life has allowed me to still let myself feel the magic.... Your first time?

My 1st time I can remember being scared to death of the "howl" outside of Haunted Mansion! I miss that.:(
Did you go on anyway? I freaked out went on with a bribe and put my hands over my ears and stuck my face into my Dad and silently whined . I was terrified. I had talked about The Haunted Mansion with all my friends and we had a record album about, so there was so much anticipation for The Haunted Mansion, that I guess I completely wigged out. Ha, yeah, the owl. I was finished at the howling dogs!!

1993 was my first time.I was about thirteen at the time. I had always wanted to go to WDW, and I was finally there. It did not disappoint, I fell immediatly in love with the place. I remember being nervous about riding Space Mountain. But once I finally rode it,thats all I wanted to do the rest of the trip.I love that ride.

I remember the old ticket booklets and asking my brother if I had enough tickets to ride Haunted Mansion... I don't remember the outcome...but I do know I had a bunch of the lower letter tickets left...guess we didn't go on those rides. I don't remember a whole lot about the trip...I know it was my brother and my great-grandmother, but there aren't a lot of concrete memories from my first time at MK.

Had I kept those ticket booklets, they would be worth a nice penny now....maybe I could afford a one day ticket with the proceeds!!

1977, stayed at the Treehouse Villas. Got to meet Darth Vader at (what is not called) DTD. rode Space Mountain and felt like I broke my neck. recalled I could see Spaceship Earth being built as I rode the monorail.

I was in my forties the first time I walked up Main Street USA in Disney World. I remember a feeling remembrance. So many memories came rushing back to me. I had walked up Main Street in Disneyland in 1959 with my family and I had visited DL again in the 70’s.

Ha! Yeah, I still have an A ticket somewhere. Think I had to save it because it rained and an A ticket was good for maybe a streetcar ride or something.

I was 2 1/2 so all I has is pictures, not memories. I do remember the trip we took when I was 7. Unfortunately, my grandma ruined it for me. She was afraid of everything so I felt I should be afraid too. I do remember ordering Prime Rib basically every night for dinner! That was pretty awesome!

1973. The wife and I were in college. Stayed with my best friend from high school who was going to Stetson University and had an apartment in Deland. Spent a day in MK, spent another day at River Country and going to the original Discovery Island. Walked around the Polynesian and the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness. I was immediately hooked for life after that first walk down Main Street, USA. The wife was after the first ride on Space Mountain.

I was 26 my first time.

I remember riding the ferry over to MK so we could get onto the monorail to get over to our ADRs at 1900th Park Fare...and I just remember sitting there letting the cool breeze blow through my hair, inhaling the smells, watching the palm trees and just thinking OH MY GOSH IM HEEEEEEERE!!!!

My first time IN MK? Well, it started POURING rain just as we were getting off the ferrys and we made a mad dash down Main Street to get under the awning. HAHA Not a moment to stand there and enjoy the view or main street or anything. lol

I was four or five. I don't really remember a whole lot other than goofy water skiing the seven seas lagoon and me getting a picture with him. That, and Mickey's Toon Town Fair. There are other details, but those are the ones that stick out to me the most.

First trip was in 1995, as an adult. Stayed at the Poly. Instantly fell in love with Disney. Took that first walk down Main Street with my wife and son. Had exceptional interactions with many caring CM's which made me decide, this is the place for us.

We need time for things to happen.
I think it was 1973 or 74 so i was like minus 10 at the ti....
I'm not hundred percent sure on the year but I have pics and memories (looking out the monorail window at all the topiary, my dad pointing out the detail of the hair on the bridge pirate's leg on POTC) that would indicate I was about 5- or 6 the time. I have to confirm with my pops (if he can remember) but it was around that time.

He did mention last time I talked to him on the subject that we stayed at the Contemporary for 3 nights and we were having such a good time that he called down to the front desk and added an extra day. Imagine that?
