<!-- end articleShareHTML --><!-- start articleHTML -->Following the success of 2006's Cars, which took place along U.S. Route 66, Disney/Pixar is taking the film's sequel overseas.
The computer-animated 3-D flick, which hits theaters June 24, 2011, features the voices of Owen Wilson as race car Lightning McQueen and Larry the Cable Guy as Mater the tow truck in an action-packed World Grand Prix to determine the fastest car in the universe.
"When I was traveling around the world, doing publicity for Cars," says the film's director (and the studios' chief creative officer) John Lasseter, 53, "I couldn't help but laugh thinking of [tow truck] Mater lost in the maze of Tokyo streets, driving on the wrong side of the road in England or navigating the gigantic roundabouts in Paris."
