Finding Dory Thoughts?

I just saw Finding Dory last weekend and loved it! We're thinking of sharing a spoiler-free review on this week's podcast! What did you think of the movie? And please keep in mind that there may be people who haven't seen it yet, so don't reveal anything about the plot!
-Do you think it is kid-friendly? We all know there's some Disney movies out there that aren't.
-How does Finding Dory compare to Finding Nemo?

Do I think it's kid friendly? Well, a lot of kids might have trouble sitting still through all that repetition. Might depend on the attention span of the kids.
As for how it compares to FN? I'd say- rather poorly. When you have a voice talent like Albert Brooks, you don't warp his character and shove him into the background for the sequel. And there are a lot better ways to put across the "everyone is special" message.

i thought it was alright. not great by any means.

you knew going in that it had no chance if compared to the original. none of these animated films can compete with the original, we know that. but even if you put that aside i didn't find the movie much fun. i think 'Dory' was even more geared towards kids than most other pixar films.

Also (spoiler) I found the ending, with them stealing a truck, just completely ridiculous. Yes I know we're talking about a fantasy movie anyway but that one had me rolling my eyes and checking my watch to see when they would wrap this thing up
