Fevered Egos and Podcast Awards

I know there has been a lot of discussion about the Podcast Awards; are they legit, why do rules seem to vary, is it just a popularity contest, but mostly why even bother to vote for anyone in the Travel category as Lou wins every year, like he has for the past (at least?) 5 years. The most recent edition of The Wakefield Report brought something to light that seems petty and kind of sh!tty when you see the source behind it.
Apparently, Big Lou (or someone acting on behalf of his podcast that does media and promotion) sent out an email blast to fans and followers asking for their continued support of his nomination in the 2012 Podcast Awards. He included a helpful image of what to look for on the voting page to avoid confusion. To further clarify his request, he blurred out the names of ALL of the other Travel podcasts that achieved a nomination in the same category, so that his was the only podcast name legible.
Why would anyone hide their competition this way? Doesnt that seem rather un-sportsman-like? Is he afraid of his fans hearing different opinions? If he is so secure as WDW's Golden Boy that he is allowed to bend rules no one else can in exchange for whitewashing EVERYTHING at WDW in pixie dust and rainbows, then why the need to disrespect other hard-working podcasters? Insecure much?
Here is the link to The Wakefield Report where you can see the image and listen to an honest opinion about this behavior. http://wakefieldreport.blogspot.com/ Wakefield has been getting lots of emailed responses but no one seems brave enough to want to post anything on his blog or Facebook page against Lou for fear of the Castle Cosa Nostra's possible retaliation. I encourage you to check both out and form your own opinions. Even if your favorite podcast wasn't nominated for the 2012 Podcast Awards, please go to www.podcastawards.com and vote daily for someone, anyone besides Lou. Send a message that the song and dance is getting old; not everything is perfect and there is certainly room for improvement but WDW is still a great place to bring your family, just like Walt intended.
Have A Nice Day,

P.S. The ABC Comissary is "delicious"? Really?
