Seeing all of the Halloween festivities beginning over the past weekend has made me nostalgic of my first trip to Disneyland Paris last year. We flew into London on October 15th and took the Eurostar over on October 16th. We then flew to Barcelona on October 21st to take a transatlantic cruise home on the 23rd. With 5 days to enjoy the resort it seemed like a ton of time, but I could have easily spent another week. September-October 2015 was my first visit to Disneyland, and this year I'll return to Disney World. No matter what people say about one resort being better than another, each resort has it's own distinct feeling that makes it special and unique from the others. We stayed at the Newport Bay Club which I used my DVC points to pay for. I also bought us annual passes through a British discount site to take advantage of the Brexit deals. Despite what people say, while I didn't profit like I might have through a resale and cash booking, we did end up breaking even, possibly even saving $100-200 compared to paying cash. IMO it was worth it to keep things simple and not lose the points, the new point charts really throw off the odds of things breaking even now though.
My favorite part of Disneyland Paris had to be Disney Dreams. Even without the full-size fireworks and the older age compared to the newest shows created for Disneyland's 60th anniversary it was still easily my favorite show of any resort. The layering of all the elements create an experience far more immersive than any other. I ended up watching it all 5 nights that I was at the resort, even the day we went into Paris I got back just in time to go in the park and watch. Every time I tried to get a different experience with the far right, far left, front and center, center of the hub, and in the back. I hope you enjoy the videos and photos!
