Favorite place at DHS and why?

I don't have a favorite, but I wasn't disappointed with either Hollywood Brown Derby (I really love the Grapefruit Cake) or Sci-Fi Dine In Theater (the old 1950 B movie clips are really fun). I haven't eaten at 50's Prime Time since 1992 so things have probably changed there but I remember having fun because our waitress gave my dad a scolding for hiding his veggies under the plate decoration. Thankfully he played along.

I'm not in love with much at Hollywood Studios, either. We've been to all of the a la carte table service restaurants there, and the only one we return to is the Hollywood Brown Derby. It's a diamond in the rough. In fact, I think it's currently the best table service restaurant in any of the four parks. I just wrote a post on my blog today about our most recent lunch there. We only had drinks, salads and desserts, but everything was delicious.

TS--50's Prime Time Cafe. I feel like I'm a kid at my grandparent's house watching the old black and white sitcoms. I like Mom's Sampler with the0 fried chicken, meatloaf and pot roast.

QS--The Backlot Express. We grab a table in their patio area and watch the Jedi Training Academy. I like the buffalo chicken nuggets AND refillable drinks.

Snack--Min and Bill's Dockside Diner. Relief for the Florida sun. Frozen lemonade.

My upcoming trip wil be the first time I am spending a whole day at DHS, so this thread has great info.

I want to try the Mom's Sampler at 50's Prime Time!!
I've also read that there are some good cookies/cupcakes in this park :D

Don't have a favorite, as most places there aren't that great. I usually end up heading back to the resort to eat, or get a meal at another park that we came from/are going to.

Yes, I totally understand. We are usually this way too. Am hoping of a hiding gem I might have missed. :)

We used to eat at Brown Derby all the time - that was the only TS place we would go. But they changed the menu around and now I just don't see it worth 2 Table Service credits. And I have the recipe for the dressing for the cobb salad so I make it at home. hee hee :)

Hmmmm...well, we've had a nice breakfast at Hollywood & Vine, mixed experiences at 50s, good food at HBD, a decent dinner at Mama Melrose, and we have yet to try Sci Fi. As far as CS goes, Starring Rolls and Studio Catering have been our faves. In fact, I really like their various pressed sandwiches...

Thanks for the pics! Mama's was decent. Probably not worth a TS credit then?
