Whatever happened to Zu Warriors? I thought it looked pretty interesting from the trailers I saw last year. Did it make a theatrical debut or end up direct to video?

i'm a sucker for Chinese flicks...dunno why, but i am. i got a little lost during Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but i liked it pretty good. my favorite, unfortunately, i have never caught the name of. it used to come on Bravo quite often. honestly, not really sure what it's about...all i remember is a woman being one of the many wives (i think he had maybe 4 wives or so) of a Chinese emperor type guy (not sure if he was really emperor or not) i'll not go into much detail about it (especially since my details are rather sketchy anyway) but during one scene she says she's pregnant to gain the favor of her husband, but she's really not. she ends up getting into some pretty hefty trouble when everyone in the palace finds out she's not pregnant. at the very end the woman goes insane and is wandering around the palace courtyard as the credits roll. i really wish i knew the name of this movie! if anyone has any clue as to what it could be, please tell me, i'd greatly appreciate it!

was Chocolat with Johnny Depp a foreign film? if so, that's definately one of my faves!

Is that the film about the girl who falls in love with the school teacher? If so, I really like it.

My favorite foreign film has to be "Life is Beautiful."

Yes, i actually meant any non-US films, i enjoy a lot of films from the UK as well. I am from Canada and there isn't much that's very good that is Canadian made and all the US movies are always very good ( most of them), was just curious as to what films from other countries people liked !:animwink:

Nothing like an old Jackie Chan or Jet Li flick! That's about the extent of my foreign film experience.

I did try and watch TV while stationed in Japan, but if it wasn't an action flick, I would get lost and wind up changing the channel.

I did enjoy watching the Japanese game shows. They were really funny even if I didn't understand the language.

Some of the soft southen shandy drinkers would consider anything Scottish as foreign even in this country, and it is a country after all:)

BTW the scene with the sheets i have a good story that is similar but involved socks:hurl: Not me I hasten to add.

That scene and the (worst) toilet (in Scotland) scene are pure film brilliance. I also love the park scene.

Brilliant music, also. I have both soundtrack CD's.
