What are your favorite cancelled projects/attractions and why? Mine is fire mountain, just sounds plain cool, I hope that it gets done in the future, even if it ends up in a similar situation that Big Thunder Mountain did.

The original concept art for Japan with Mt. Fuji soaring high in the back would've been breathtaking. I can't help but picture it whenever I look at the front of the pavilion.

Fire Mountain isn't exactly a canceled attraction since it was never announced.

It was a cancelled attraction.

What was the date of the official announcement by Disney of the intention to build it? I'd love to read the press release that describes the details of it.

There is a difference between a project being designed and considered (like this) that never got approved or announced and something like Main Street Theater that was publicly announced but now we've learned was canceled. The parks fan community seems unable to tell the difference between those two concepts sometimes. If the project was never approved to be built, it can not have been canceled. In my mind, canceling a design project is far from the same thing.

Sarcasm will get you nowhere.

PR is the last link in the chain.

In your mind. Not mine. Which of course makes neither of us right or wrong.

I would have loved to have seen Beastly Kingdom actually happen (screw you, Universal). AK is my favourite park and it sounds super cool! Also the Matterhorn in Germany Pav and the Mt Fuji coaster in Japan Pav would have been epic, and given EPCOT that thrill ride it so desperately needs.

Pardon my ignorance, but what are some buzz words about these photos so I could read up and do some research about these? These look amazing.
Picture 1 is western river expedition
Picture 2 is WESTCOT
Picture 3 I think is either fire mountain or the dragon ride that was going to be in beastly kingdom.
Third one is Indiana Jones and the Lost Expedition. It was being designed at the same time as Disneyland's Splash Mountain. Two rides, Jeep ride like what we got in IJA and an ore car coaster like “Temple of Doom”. DLRR and Jungle Cruise would pass through the attraction.

EDIT: Wanted to add some articles about these projects.
