Is there physically any way any CMs could film Fantasmic from their POV, or Disney could release a video called "Fantasmic from Mickey's Perspective" in which they attach a head-mounted GoPro to the CM and show Fantasmic's backstage? It'd be so cool!

they are to me, now if only someone did it! I've always wondered what it looks like during the finale from the top of the mountain
Doing it would not be too difficult.

That said, backstage spaces in theaters are usually not that visually interesting.

Would absolutely be a way for a CM to be termed. Disney really frowns on activities like that.

Having been a CM, I can assure you that backstage is not really interesting. At one point in time, I was like you and thought it would be fascinating. It's not. The utilidors are not all that interesting either. The allure is that normal guests can't go there so it must be something to see. Once you get in there (on the tour or as a MK CM) you quickly find out it's a big corridor with exposed pipes, offices, CM's, electrical panels and e-z go's.

If you want to see what's backstage, go behind a strip mall. Going to look the same. Dumpsters, parking spaces, trash, broken fixtures, etc.

Or, when you graduate and strike it out on your own, apply to be a CM. You will get to see it all the time.

Here are a couple for you. If you are still interested, become a CM when your are old enough.

Ok. Otherwise there's always Keys To The Kingdom or whatever it's called

Yes, that works too. That tour is a very good tour. You will get behind the scenes at at least one ride (Probably the Haunted Mansion) into the utilidors and upstairs on Main St. You will also get backstage behind Splash Mountain to where the trash vac system is.
