I was always closer w/ my grandma, but since have become alot closer w/ my mom which is nice. My mom was never....it's very hard for her to show her emotions and she wasn't like a "cuddly" person. But she really has been more so since

There were yrs when I talked to mom I felt like I was in trouble all the time. (of course I didn't do anything wrong, I was perfect) Now I found out some of the things I need to talk to her about she went though herself or simular things like it.

My mom's always been needy. Much more a child than me or my sister. We got used to our role though and still take care of her. It's just what we do. My dad though. . . he tried to be both mom and dad. It wasn't easy and he didn't always get it right, but he sure tried. So funny how few people want to be like their parents. I wonder what my girls thoughts on that would be. I don't think I'll ask. :dazzle: :lookaroun

I often find myself doing things my mom did that I SWORE I would never do....I guess now I understand more, but I still catch myself.
My middle DD told me I yell to much. I have quieted down since then but it is tough sometimes not to yell. My DD's are very truthful. I have always told them to tell the truth, It might hurt but I will be worse if you don't.:lookaroun

It was good - it only took about 3 hours to get there, and we came homea different way to avoid the traffic, so it took us about 4 to come home (last time it took like 6!). We took him and his new girlfriend out for dinner - we really liked her, so I hope it lasts!
That is a shorter trip and it helps when it is shorter. I am glad you liked her. I didn't/don't like the girl my oldest son likes. I never know if it is on or off for them. :shrug: She lives in SC I have met her parents and her. Her mom is nice.:lookaroun But dad is a while other story.:zipit:

This is the first girlfriend of his that I've actually liked right away - he's had a few that we really didn't care for, and they treated him like dirt.
Then that is an improvement. :sohappy:
