Fall 2016 Bounce Back Offers

I browsed several pages and didn't see other posts on this, so I thought I would share. Looks like several sites are showing the bounce back offers for May thru December of 2017...and it's not looking good. Free dining is back but the dates are severely limited. Seems like it would have been easier to post the actual weeks that were included versus an excluded list (about 7 by my estimate versus the total time of roughly 28 weeks). I'm bummed out because our school district has Fall break the 3rd week of September and we've enjoyed the benefit of the free dining for the last 5 yearly trips (inclusive of this upcoming September trip). :(

Booking dates: Aug. 1 – Oct. 31, 2016

This offer can only be booked while you are staying on Walt Disney World property during the above dates. (Despite the flyer below saying that booking dates end on Sept. 30, Disney confirms that it is indeed Oct. 31, 2016.)

Travel dates: May 30 – Dec. 20, 2017

Excluded dates:

June 7 – June 29, 2017
July 6 – Aug. 10, 2017
Sept. 10 – Dec. 7, 2017

Excluded resorts:

Fort Wilderness Campsites
All-Star Movies
3-bedroom villas
Port Orleans French Quarter
Port Orleans Riverside (Dec. 8 – Dec. 20, 2017)
Villas along the Disney monorail line
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – Little Mermaid rooms

Oh wow. We are going late November 2016. Anyone know if they ever add additional bounce back offers for that time of year (we will be there Nov 26th-Dec 10th)? Thanks

In recent years the bounce back offer for Nov/Dec guests has been a room discount for various dates in the upcoming year (so in your case for 2017.) The deluxe resorts have the greatest discount, though in a three year time span the discount decreased from 40% to 35% to 30%. (I would not be surprised to see only 25% this year, assuming there is a bounce back offer.) The room discount for moderates and values was 10 to 15 percent less than whatever the percentage offer was for deluxe.

We went for the first time in May 2016 (GF). We will be going again May 2017 (Poly) - I didn't know about Bounce Back while we were there. Are the Bounce Back offers usually better than the standard promotions? If so, I'm sad I didn't know about this. Thanks for your post!

It depends on how you look at the bounce back offer and if it fits your vacation schedule. The winter-spring bounce backs have historically been room discounts and the summer-fall bounce backs have been free dining. The free dining plan is a financial boon for us (family of 4) and shaves a good bit off the vacation price although you are paying normal rate for the rooms and tickets. There are other threads that debate the cost savings deeply depending on room offers, how much their family eats, ticket discounts ,etc. For us, the bounce back works and we're happy with the total costs and not having to worry about food pricing.

Oh...one last thing. The bounce backs do require a $200 deposit payable at the time the bounce back is offered. It is fully refundable if you choose to cancel your trip. This may or may not fit your budget.
