Please click the image to go to its Flickr page. There is a lot of information about the image and execution there (as well as two other pictures that inform as to the shot) and it's easier to go there than for me to re-post everything here.

How was your trip down? Did you both have a good time? We leave next Thursday. :)

Yes
Where is all the security chasing you out? Where are the CM's accusing you hiding in bushes? Where are the CM's accusing you of being there 1 hour after the park closed?

yea how do you do it. We are going to attempt this next week, I bet we get the boot in two seconds. We are so excited to try the new camera out on this trip. I love your pics!!!!!!!!

Your photos are amazing. I love photography - you have a great eye. I wouldn't even think to take pictures of some of the things in your flickr album, but they turn out beautiful.

EPICOT?:lookaroun

Who am I kidding!? That's a AWESOME shot. Reminds me of the commemorative ticket! Shame the FAWF stuff is there.

Combine the words EPIC and EPCOT.

If you click on the image, you'll see in my second comment that I got the idea from a souvenir book (which is pictured in the comment).

Nice exposure too... you can even see the searchlights over at DHS on the pic (look between SSE and the mono on the right).

Tom,

All of your photos are great, but this may just be your best. How much time did this take in Photoshop? Less than the time needed to capture the three photos I would guess.:animwink:

Thanks for the kind words. I think it's my second best shot to date. I think non-photographers may not think it's anything more than a normal night shot, but if you understand photography, you know just how difficult this shot is to capture. In fact, I think you would be hard pressed to find many, if any, people with this shot in their library. I wouldn't be surprised if that souvenir book shot is the only other shot like this that exists (and that shot would be considerably easier to take since it's light out! :p not to toot my own horn...). I actually don't think this shot (at night, at least) would have even been possible until the digital era, and within that era, probably not until the last few years. I pushed the ISO pretty high...

It took more time in Photoshop than it did to take the shots. Probably about 20 minutes more.

Well worth all the time and effort put into this shot. It must be incredibly satisfying to see it now, knowing that you made the right choice in setting up, taking your time and not letting yourself be thrown out of the park. Imagine if you had moved along when you first saw the security guard...wish he could see this picture.
