Entertainment and Attractions...

First up I'm going to ask about Entertainment. In about a year or two, I'm going to apply for an entertainment job. What's the audition like? Is it easy or hard to get into? I have lots of theater and a bit of dance, but not too good in it. Do you go thru an interview? What do you guys do? Mainly, how can I get in? It's been my dream to work in Entertainment.

As for attractions, how does one get to working there. I'd love to work Mansion or the Fantasyland rides. I would just have the time of my life. What's the interview like? Anything else? Do you take tests?

Thanks for all the help guys! You're helping my dream come true. - The WeirdOne

I was just talking to someone who was just hired as a lighting guy on Walt Disney World's tech. crew and he said its all about experience. They look at past PROFESSIONAL jobs and any other experience or education. It also helps to have worked for WDW in the past.

The interview is easy, he said you go in, they review your info, and if the job is avaible and they like you, you get the job.

For some more help try these sites (first one is more WDW Entertainment:

I auditioned a few months ago (just for fun) and I can tell you, there are a few things you need to stand out. You will need dance, that is one of the most important parts of the audition. The rest is really up to genetics.... if you are very tall or very short, you will have better luck.
As for attractions, you do go through a few interviews, they just want to see what kind of a person you are, like any interview. But, you will not get to pick what attraction you will work at, and you most likely won't be at the same one all the time. They usually move you around between a few attractions in the same area. (ex. Buzz, the TTC, and Space mountain) I don't know what else to tell ya, If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to email me.
