Trip Report Eating Turkey in Disney...Another Live Trip Report

Arrived at the Philadelphia airport only to be delayed 2 hours. Won't arrive in Orlando until early tomorrow morning, but we will be in Disney !!! Plenty to come as we will be in WDW until Monday. Looking forward to staying at Wilderness Lodge! Our first time at WL for Thanksgiving

My wife brought home the same souvenir from our trip a few weeks back.. Good news, its the cheapest thing she brought home from Disney! Bad news, it took about a week to kick...

Seriously, I hope you feel better soon. Thank you for the trip report, I always enjoy them! It's helped us through our post-Disney blues....

Thanks. My wife does an excellent job planning. This trip was a last minute throw together. We were very happy with what we were able to do!

So I'm going to sum this trip report up. As many of you know, I got the flu in Disney last week. I started feeling bad Saturday night, but it hit me hard Sunday. Not a stomach bug, but the full blown high fever and overall body aches. It stunk big time! I didn't sleep for two days. I did the best I could Sunday by going to dinner and the Candlelight Processional, but that night was awful. :hungover:

I worried all night how I was going to travel home the next day. I was 100% expecting to have to stay back in FL as my family headed back to PA. I missed lunch the next day at Whispering Canyon. My wife took Brayden and Madelyn while I tried to pack. It wasn't working, but with my wife's help we got it done and down to the airport check-in.

They said they had a great time at lunch. Brayden asked for ketchup.

They aren't always fans of participating, but mom made sure they played the horse race!

And one last lobby stop for a picture on the way back to the room to get me. I stayed back and was able to rest for about an hour before getting the ME to the airport.

So the ride to the airport, time at the airport, and flight back were difficult but overall not as bad as it could have been. I was home out of work until Friday, but I'm back full time planning for our Christmas trip to the World. We leave in 12 days for the Yacht Club! Can't wait!

I really enjoyed your trip report. Sorry to hear you got so sick. I'm looking forward to your next tr. I think your family should just keep going back every few weeks so we can keep getting live trip reports!

Whaaaat? Going in 12 days? Im soooo jealous. I think it will take me that long to recuperate. Sooo sorry you were so sick. I know that was scary traveling. Glad you made it.

Nothing is sadder than being sick at Disney and having to travel home sick (I speak from experience.) But you are so blessed to be able to return again so soon! Prayers that everyone stays healthy during your Christmas visit :)

I was never one for getting a flu shot until I came down with flu/fever/pneumonia in 2007. In bed for 10 days. Have gotten a shot every year since and recommend you do too!

We arrive at WDW on Saturday and depart the following Saturday. I believe our trips overlap by a day? Have FUN!

Glad you are feeling better. Sooooo jealous that you go so often and are heading back so soon. It takes me all year to save up! But looking at the positives we get another trip report soon.
